Probably not the 1st time Drew Gilbert layed down a safety squeeze bunt with runners on 1st & 3rd. Takes him back to his UT days. 1) Very tough to defend especially with a LHH who can also target the 4 hole. 2) Challenges the 1st baseman to shuffle... off & cover the 4 hole or charge & close the gap on the bunt. 3) Freeman initially starts to shuffle off & then breaks to the plate when he sees the bunt show. Slows him down enough to keep him from getting to the bunt soon enough. (Ball backs up some when hits the ground & rolls away from him. Might have been able to catch the bunt in the air if he breaks early & aggressively. 4) Good read albeit a little delayed( Based on initial trajectory of bunt) by the runner at 3B when he sees that Freeman is not going to be able to catch it in the air & the pitcher has no play.show more

TAG PLAY FROM LAST NIGHTS TEXAS & GEORGIA CWS GAME. 1) Texas catcher initial set up is inside the 3B line & in fair territory. 2) When he reads the SS’s throw from down the LF line, he takes a big drop step to get a more favorable hop. Unfortunately the drop step takes him behind HP which allows the runner to score before being tagged. 3) In today’s game with replay review as part of the process, it is best to make the tag before the runner gets to HP. Most successful tag outs are made up the 3B line on the slider’s midline before he gets to HP. 4) In this situation the catcher was probably not far enough up the line & took too big a drop step. ( Most likely a combination of the two) IMO the ideal initial set up on throws from LF/CF is 17” up the line & 17” inside the line. From that position a good throw legally takes you into the line & keeps you from getting behind the plate. It also allows the catcher to work back towards the plate on a wide throw on the 1st base side. 5) Ideally on a close play like this one you are making a quick one handed sweep tag while pivoting through the runner while sliding & pivoting on both knees.

Atlanta Braves prospect Owen Murphy has that dog in him. Tj Friedl broke up Murphy’s hitless outing with a bunt to start the 4th inning. Murphy starts Friedl’s next AB off with a cutter at the chin to which Friedl took exception too 🤣 Owen Murphy wasn’t moved. He proceeded to paint a fastball and then cut Friedl’s bat in half to finish the job.

Drag bunt! Just imagine any player doing this against any type of modified shift. It’s there all day long! In my opinion, every hitter from HS and above should have this in their “tool box.” Never know when it might be the solution to a particular game situation. I have always said HS hitters can boost their batting average over .100 points if they know how to drag and push bunt. I would say the same is true for college players…At least .50 points. Not being able to bunt is about as bad as a LH pitcher with a bad pick-off move to 1B. No excuse for it. JS

Immense baseball IQ play here from three of the best HWA(How to win awareness) guys in baseball) Very subtle play. 1) With 2 outs & a runner on 1B Hoerner keeps the ball in the infield & makes 180 spin throw to 3B. 2) Bregman realizes that there is no play at 3B & comes out to get the ball & redirects it to 2B. 3) Swanson fake cuts the throw to 3B & slows the runner(Wiemer) down enough to have a play at 2B. 4) After the fake cut Swanson retreats to 2B in time to get Bregman’s redirected throw for the 3rd out of the inning. The focus should also be on why he was chased off the property in the first place and whether the people chasing him created the danger that led to the shooting.

The catcher watches the ball all the way to home plate but instead of taking 1 step forward to catch it in the air decides to try and pick it from his knees as it bounces away. This is my method to getting multiple Interceptions a game on Heisman👇🏾 - Hot Route yourself into Man Coverage. - Move Down close to the LOS (about 5 yards away from WR) - IMMEDIATELY get back to cover once the ball is snapped. On Heisman, the QB will throw it to your man if he has a step or 2 on you. If you're fast enough to recover, you can pick him off underneath.

Yes on the videos we have so far. The initial encounter was him filming them. There was no gun being brandished. They jumped out of vehicles to go to try to intimidate him. Unfortunately there's no video yet between then and when they had them on the ground. When they had him on the ground they were pistol whipping him, at first it looked like a baton, but it's actually a gun. They had him down with at least five officers. You got to wait for a second so he tried to stand up they shot him in the back he was motionless after they shot him in the back. Then there were four more shots or more after that unloaded into his body from a posture of standing above him. Not a defensive posture. He's supposedly has a gun. It looks like ICE took something out of a holster. So it's likely that he did have a HOLSTERED GUN in an open carry state that is not a reason to shoot someone to death. He was not brandishing it -- again it was his camera. That was the reason for the initial approach was to intimidate him about his camera. It is perfectly legal to film ice This is out not murder once again. Now there is some sort of speculation on social that a gun was dropped and a bullet went off. 🤔 The rifle drop location of the leftist who assassinated Charlie Kirk has been revealed. From the video which cuts off…we can see him waiting at the intersection. So not to be semantical but the diagram showing him cut across the parking lot isn’t accurate because he walks along the pathway. So it appears Tyler Robinson walked across the street and “HID” the Mauser in that vicinity and then walked to his car. My only question is if he knew in his own words that his father would notice the gun missing and have to come back to collect it WHY NOT JUST TAKE IT WITH YOU TO YOUR VEHICLE AND REMOVE THAT FROM THE EQUATION? He seemed to smuggle the weapon in there with NO PROBLEM hidden well enough and with all the commotion getting back to your car with the weapon would be a priority. We have heard routinely that he is NOT a stupid person so he would know that after committing the most high profile ASSASSINATION in the 21st century w/ cameras everywhere of a personal friend of The President that no stone would be unturned. So DID HE REALLY THINK HE WOULD BE ABLE TO RETURN TO A CAMPUS THAT WOULD BE ON LOCKDOWN HOURS LATER TO RETRIEVE IT? That doesn’t sound like a MENSA move to me. I’ll leave my post here also from 9/12 when his father turned him in where I said AT BARE MINIMUM HE WOULD HAVE KNOWN HIS DAD WOULD KNOW ITS MISSING. Why use the terminology “DROP POINT” as if it’s an OP as opposed to saying “I hid or stashed it”? Just little details like that stand out to me.
