You'll often hear it asserted that the digital shots George Lucas added to the Death Star battle for the Special Edition of A New Hope, ironically, actually look inferior to the original shots, and blend less seamlessly with the footage of live actors. Is this true? You could say it's subjective, but let's take a look anyway. Compare these two versions of the iconic shot(s) of the Rebel starfighters gathered in formation on approach to the Death Star. The Special Edition is on the left and the original version is on the right. Is the Special Edition version actually so incredibly ugly? Is it actually less credible than the original version? Is it actually less dramatically effective? The answer to all these questions, I think, is clearly no. It is obvious why Lucas was not satisfied with the effects in the original pair of shots, and it is obvious that the new (combined) shot is closer to the image he had in his head in 1977. What an evening I had tonight. I baked a Chicago deep dish pizza my Uncle Terry overnighted to me from Lou Malnati's and I used my Air France hot mittens. I watched finally Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning which I thought was horrible. The cinematography was fantastic but the storyline was too hard to follow. They did not come up with an original chase sequence with the Stearmans like the film “Capricorn One” Anyways, I got my first Lionel Train in the mail from Kathryn M. Clark and I felt like a kid again.

I got the notification and froze. It didn’t register what I was clicking on. And then the second I did a head count up to 7, I burst into tears. And then I did not stop crying until about an hour ago. What surprised me was that I didn’t realise that I was still holding my breath. I didn’t know. I thought I felt that release when I saw them all on June 13th and then again on June 21st when yoongi posted on weverse. I was wrong. Because apparently, I was still only half relieved. I watched Robot on the Road and honestly I did not really know what to expect going in At the beginning it just feels like a pretty normal little road trip setup with this robot hitchhiking around Japan and it almost gives off a chill slice of life vibe But it does not stay like that for long The more it goes on the more you realize the robot is doing some really questionable stuff and the way it focuses on women without their consent makes the whole thing feel really uncomfortable By the end I was not really sure if I was supposed to find it funny or just feel weird about it Overall it feels like one of those shorts that tries to mix dark humor with awkward situations but it mostly just ends up being unsettling

A grizzly bear family was spotted casually walking down a road in Alberta like they owned every inch of it - and after that video circulating of the woman and her dog coming face to face with a grizzly, maybe this explains everything. Maybe they were out looking for him because he wandered too far from the family 😂 One thing is for sure, that woman with the dog is thanking God this whole crew was not there for that encounter because one grizzly was already more than enough to handle. Are you calm in these situations? Nature is beautiful until it’s standing right in front of you.
