Also, I can’t blame the author. She’s hot... Nah, jokes aside, she’s part of an industry with so much competition, and even she has her own struggles. She draws all the time, even in her free time, because she wants to improve and keep giving her absolute best to those who look forward to her work. She cries too when she makes hard choices in her story. She’s human too, she just has a different way of showing that she feels pain as well. I like how all the creators are so different in this anime. They’re not carbon copies of each other. They feel like actual people who work in such an industry and tackle its challenges in their own ways.

My favorite scene. A woman who's strength is her cruelty outdoing herself with kindness. No begging, no bargaining: "I took away your daughter, now I give her back, only because it takes away your resolve." What an delightful viper.

Love “Re:Creators”! This situation from the series made me question my preference of genre & writing? The distinction of morality is something I’ve seen before as an example Shirou from Fate/Stay where it was said in order there to be a hero there needs to be conflict to resolve

In comics, it would be a recurring theme of no one stays dead but in Japanese medium, you would hardly find any dead characters that gets resurrected unless if has an abusable plot device or game-like mechanics like Dragon Balls, or for comedic purposes like Konosuba

It was a great scene and I'm sure a lot of authors watching the show think about how would they react in the same place, seeing a character they created threatening them because of all the suffering they put them through.

Something about Re:Creators has always stuck in my craw. I just really really disagree with the amount of IRL moral weight the narrative is asking me to place upon fictional worlds and people.

What surprised me the most was that Super Street Fighter II X, which was hugely popular in arcades at the time, was available on this system. I still remember standing in a game shop, completely mesmerized, staring at that game for a long time. I was really hoping it would come out on the Super Famicom too, but maybe because of hardware limitations, it never did. That made it even more shocking. By the way, the model I’m talking about is the 3DO ALIVE 2 made by LG Electronics. For a lot of foreign friends, this is probably something they’ve never seen before.

I love how this anime shows just how powerful creators can be for their characters. Their pen, and everyone who believes in their creativity, gets to decide the fate of the world they made. Selesia’s creator is selfish. He wrote a sad story for a heroine who is always fighting and always hurting. But he loves her too much to let her die like this. She’s larger than life to him. People want to see her succeed in her world. They learn from her struggles. Letting her die without achieving any of that is the kind of fate no creator wants for their character. A god is powerless without those who believe in him. This scene shows that his writing alone cannot change her fate. It's the people who read her light novel and watch her anime. What a beautiful moment. It made me cry.
