Probably the most Irish Catholic thing I’ve ever seen.

I have absolutely seen Catholic priests swear in private conversations. It's a little jarring but I figure the sin is taking the Lord's name in vain, not colorful language in private.

I’ve been a Baptist preacher for several years. I pray near daily that God would help me to bridle my tongue. I do very well in front of others, but when I’m by myself, I let far more go than I care to admit.

I guess it happens. I knew a priest from India once and as he walking, he tripped and as he caught himself, he said something in his native tongue and then looked absolutely horrified. Judging from his reaction, I'm pretty sure he swore.
