🤔 Problem: Sticky materials don't clean themselves off conveyor belts. 💡 Solution: Model a belt scraper that clears residue during operation without damaging the belt surface. What do you think of this modeling process? #Shapr3D #CADmodeling #MechanicalEngineering

I'd get a new push broom, cut it to length & bolt it down with 4 1/4-20. Scraper gonna stretch yo belt, man.

Does shape 3d have auto threads now? Always bugged me that I had to model my own threads

It could also be an air line at 120 psi blasting the bottom of the conveyor belt, which only activates when it detects dirt on the belt.

Looks a hell of a lot faster than I’d do it in fusion, but I’m also sure that’s cause I barely know jack about cad

This isn't how I think when designing a machine. Maybe I could get used to it, but it means working differently than I have for the last 25 years.

Can this soft do 2D's to a pdf with annotations? Lots of custom parts there.

Looks like a mix of traditional CAD and 3D modeling for games using something like blender, I will have to try this out.

Beautiful, but I think I'd instead look for ways to prevent the sticky substance from... - existing in the first place (e.g. encapsulate in collector vessels carried along by the conveyor belt and returned to capture the next lot) - touching the conveyor belt (e.g. suspending it on a hook moved along by the conveyor belt).

There could be a follow-up to this software dedicated to creating high-poly models (and I know that CAD doesn't use polygons, but it could have a tessellation tool for polygons) aimed at the gaming industry, you know, and include all of that in the basic plan, of course.
