haha the Runway real-time characters is great. i just spent 2 minutes pitching a ghibli version of myself a bladeless blender startup it's only a 2 min demo, but the questions and tone are pretty solid. one question even threw me off a bit (the cleaning). asking which round was unnecessary. it got a little weird at the end right before it cut off, which is due to a 2 min limit when testing on site(which seems unnecessary since they're charging me for the api - why not let me talk longer?) at current pricing, this would be roughly ~$6 for a 30 min call or $12 an hour. this doesn't include the cost of running an extraction prompt in the background to store this data, but llm tokens are so cheap. very expensive compared to mean vc (free, since it's in gpt marketplace) or even a self-hosted chat agent, but it's way cheaper than an associate. while it has downsides like not being a real person, there's also benefits like having consistent and unbiased information gathering, being available 24/7, being able to talk to founders in parallel, and consistent note taking. and it will likely get cheaper (sorry my audio volume is low, i'm testing while everyone else in the house is asleep)

Steven Cave caught out. Making desperate excuses that he knew it was a setup and he had mental health problems. If we could deport him and dump him in Pakistan, I would. But we can’t. It’s wrong to burden other counties with our shite. He is our problem and it’s on us to deal with him. When I share a foreigner doing this I often get evil Muslims who don’t deserve to even be in this country with the attitude they have. Or vile white liberals kicking off saying “What about the white ones?!?!?!?” And the answer is always the same. We have enough of our own problems so why should we be housing the rest of the world’s problems too? These people should remain in their own country of origin so that they aren’t given a fresh start to repeat the same offences again in their new homeland. If this was a person of colour I would face a wave of abuse from the left and Muslims for sharing this. But because it’s a white man they will be perfectly fine with it. I’ve been running this page long enough now so I’m fully aware how vile and dangerous their way of thinking is.

Trita Parsi has been studying Iranian politics for over 25 years, and I was surprised to see how optimistic he was about this MOU between Trump and Iran! He got me excited tbh. He explained why 'this time is different', and we may actually end up with a better deal than Obama's JCPOA, in terms of not having it ripped up by a future administration for political purposes 1.⁠ ⁠Trump's recent comments, praising the Iranian regime, advocating for them to have missiles, and being open to doing business with them, essentially shut down the arguments made by pro-war advocates who claim the Iranian regime cannot be reasoned with 2.⁠ ⁠The Gulf, who play a big role in this new framework, will help ensure the peace negotiations for a long term deal are not sabotaged 3.⁠ ⁠Iran's military win has now established a new reality, where the only soltuion to the 'Iran problem' is diplomacy. The U.S. tried war, and it failed miserably 4.⁠ ⁠And most importantly, the sentiment in the U.S. is shifting against 'Israel-First' policies Blending all these factors made Trita possibly more optimistic than he was even after the JCPOA, and that says a lot! i did it. i vibe-coded my own vibe-noding app⚡️ lately every ai tool has been announcing some kind of node canvas. they’re all impressive in their own way, but each one solves a different problem, with a different logic, in a different universe. some are too technical, some are too rigid, most feel like they were designed by a backend engineer. so i built the version i actually want to use. over the last few days i hacked this together with Google Gemini and Google Antigravity. the tool is absurdly capable. i didn’t touch a single line of code. the result is a fully working app with smooth ui animations, smart interactions, and a workflow that doesn’t fight me. my focus isn’t on the models. Nano Banana 2 Lite is already strong enough to generate half a universe on its own. and a year from now, we won’t care about model juggling anyway. we’ll have one model doing everything. the real problem is the workflow. the interface. the flow state. so i optimized for that. the whole point is to keep the technical junk out of the way during ideation and iteration. i want to try an idea, branch it, remix it, explore it, all on a single canvas. every block is editable. every idea is forkable. every path is visible. the design isn’t perfect yet. some of the ui patterns are familiar on purpose. good ideas deserve to be stolen. i rushed it. i let a bunch of great ui decisions die for speed. but it works. and honestly, it feels great to use. future of creating is more organic and more fluid. not just chat bubbles. not rigid feeds. but an intelligent canvas where ideas can grow, split, collapse, or evolve without friction. where the environment quietly adapts to your workflow instead of interrupting it. this is my first version. just for myself, for now. but it’s a start.

Nano Banana 2 Lite is already strong enough to generate half a universe on its own. and a year from now, we won’t care about model juggling anyway. we’ll have one model doing everything. the real problem is the workflow. the interface. the flow state. so i optimized for that. the whole point is to keep the technical junk out of the way during ideation and iteration. i want to try an idea, branch it, remix it, explore it, all on a single canvas. every block is editable. every idea is forkable. every path is visible. the design isn’t perfect yet. some of the ui patterns are familiar on purpose. good ideas deserve to be stolen. i rushed it. i let a bunch of great ui decisions die for speed. but it works. and honestly, it feels great to use. future of creating is more organic and more fluid. not just chat bubbles. not rigid feeds. but an intelligent canvas where ideas can grow, split, collapse, or evolve without friction. where the environment quietly adapts to your workflow instead of interrupting it. this is my first version. just for myself, for now. but it’s a start.

Pune has a chronic behavioral problem of driving on the wrong side of the road. I got time to edit the video to my daily route today. In this 3 min video you will see gig works, women, school vans, dumpsters, auto mafias, cyclists, bikers, almost every niche driving on the wrong side. No fear whatsoever. You will see me honking as well to grab their attention because car owners like me will be blamed first if something happens. And with ADAS level 2 it is more riskier because car can sudden brake anytime and the vehicle behind me will cause more damage. We need a revolution for this. Maybe they are driving on wrong side due to long u turns? or to save some fuel or to save time or out of habit or maybe because all of it but no one is there to keep a check on them. No cameras no police no volunteers nothing. And this is non traffic hours. You can imagine 6-8pm traffic with high beams on the wrong side on a state highway.

// finding the balance between real and believable similar to my previous post of the "Hell Pig" (Entelodont specifies) - this is an Ankylosaur battle idle standoff. - Breaking rules In games, more than films, you can get away with breaking a lot of rules. Here's a couple just for fun. 1. The shell: it's not suppose to flex, it's just like a turtles shell. 🐢 2. the feet: every step has a little slide. With the weight of this creature, I'm pretty sure there would be no sliding whatsoever. - Why break the rules? Cause it's FUN! 🤣- I mean seriously, video game animation gives you the most freedom to exaggerate and do things that normally don't happen in real life! In order to push the performance, you have to pick and choose a few spots that you can cheat. Besides, if the general weight/timing of the creature is good and the cheating isn't over the top, you're eyes will believe that the motion is accurate! ;) - Bonus info: In my previous post I mentioned we had 3 days to animate these battle idle standoffs. But what I forgot to mention in that I had a lot of practice on many quad creatures before jumping on these. We also had pre-production where where we tested out the rigs so that we could get comfortable with them.
