The reason those shake flashlights failed was because they were a crappier version of a type of flashlight that already existed: The hand crank flashlight, which take way less time and effort to charge than the shakers, and giving off much brighter light.

I’ve owned both the flashlight and one if those cables and let me tell you the flashlight was beyond unreliable. The power generation wasn’t there and the battery was terrible. The one redeeming quality of the cable was its warranty.

I remember having one of those flashlights. It was a pos. You'd shake it and it would stay on for a few seconds before you needed to shaken again. Battery never held a charge

Ok! The flash light that needed no batteries. Bs! I had one when it came out and yes it worked for a while. Shake and start. The shaking eventually was too much and it broke in under 3 months
