@davidflatman I usually like @davidflatman but the simple fact here is that the French officiating team were looking for a reason to disallow the try. Scottish teams are still treated as 2nd tier nations by them, and there should be no tiers. It is bollox & Glasgow have been fecked over again

@davidflatman And he is completely wrong unfortunately

@davidflatman The amount of times I’ve been told when the 8 changes channels you’ve unbound and balls out? No one can make their minds up. Also; how can the 8 be bound with arms but the 6/7 not?

@davidflatman Surely the scrum ended when it collapsed. Whistle should have been blown then with a penalty awarded if there was an infringement or reset if there was not. For me it was a Glasgow collapse so would have been a penalty to Exeter anyway.

@davidflatman Glasgow player left the scrum before the ball was out and Chiefs 9 was tackled without the ball, right decision

@davidflatman You’re not allowed to play the nine either

@davidflatman

@davidflatman Is nobody looking at the other flanker? 😂

@davidflatman Black 9 is offside. offside line for a defending scrum half is the hindmost foot of the opens idea flanker

@davidflatman Minor infringements everywhere, depending on what side you’re on depends on where you hang your coat. Play on, penalty (elbow by 9 or No 8s actions) to Glasgow or reset. Ref had a shocker there, just looking not to award the try.

@davidflatman Horne pulls back exeter 9 illegally. End of story imo . The rest is Needless hot air

@davidflatman

@davidflatman Was it even possible for 21 to keep connected to the scrum once it had collapsed?

@davidflatman I’m finding it incredulous that it even took so long to award a P. 1st offence open side totally detached from scrum whilst ball still in, 2nd, 9 playing his oppo 3rd blindside unbinds & also stands up. Bloody big hairs to split

@davidflatman The Exeter blind side had completely detached before the Glasgow blindside so at worst it’s a penalty to Glasgow surely?

@davidflatman The Scrum had collapsed though , HOW is he supposed to bind them ??

@davidflatman It was simple, black 9 steps beyond the ball, offside, what transpired after that caused confusion.

@davidflatman He’s wrong and shows his ineptitude. To ignore the collapse to ignore the no. 8 being bound by hands only (scrum is over at that point) it’s almost like English pundit blindly defends English team

@davidflatman So many things if you want to pedantic. Both back rows are unbound. Blue 8 re-engages in a different channel. Black 7 is offside. Both 9s are tussling off the ball. Blue 14 and 10 encroach within 5m Any of these is a penalty.

@davidflatman If forensic rugby intervention looks for mitigation to keep a player on the field after a direct head contact, look for reasons to award the attacking team, especially if both teams had players that left the scrum at the same time. If it’s that fine a call, leave it to the ref.

@davidflatman Huge about of respect for Flats but it should have been a penalty after the scrum half manhandled off the ball.

@davidflatman Try!

@davidflatman Games in Glasgow that’s given

@davidflatman Shitty play from Feyi-Waboso pushing Ferries head into turf

@davidflatman @davidflatman so why if the TMO gets involved does he not then bring the attention to the initial scrum penalty?
