Professor Dave, who teaches philosophy at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, just posted this: “Once these ICE agents are hanging from a rope after their trial… we get to go up to their families and literally drink their tears. We get to quench our thirst with their tears… everyone’s laughing and pointing at their family members, taking joy in the suffering of their family members.” In other clips, which are uploaded in the comments, Professor Dave calls for spitting in the National Guard’s face (calling them traitors), says they should “take up their arms and turn them toward ice,” labels ICE “gestapo secret police” and “no better than yahtzees,” and claims abolishing ICE is the “moderate position” while demanding prosecutions. In another video, he plays the sound of a woman screaming while he laughs under the caption “This will be laughing to the reaction of an ICE agents family after one gets melted.” This isn’t philosophy. This is sickening incitement and revenge fantasy. A Professor of Philosophy — the field built on reason, ethics, and critical thinking — is out here celebrating graphic fantasies of lynching federal agents and sadistically enjoying the suffering of their families. Almost every one of Dave’s videos calls for graphic violence. University of Hawaii — is this acceptable from your faculty? Is this what taxpayer dollars fund at a public university?

Empowering Balochistan’s Daughters, Powering a Brighter Future #Turbat — A meaningful initiative at Girls Cadet College Turbat brought education, technology and the extraordinary potential of Balochistan’s young daughters into focus. The Inspector General Frontier Corps Balochistan (South) visited the college, interacted with faculty members and cadets, and highlighted the importance of education, modern technology, discipline, dedication and hard work in preparing the young generation for the opportunities and challenges of the modern world. Addressing the cadets, he emphasized that education remains the foundation of progress, while technology has become an essential tool for learning, research, innovation and professional development. The students were encouraged to remain focused on their studies, make positive use of modern opportunities and continue developing themselves through knowledge, discipline, confidence and determination. In a significant step towards expanding access to modern learning, FC Balochistan (South), in collaboration with Parwaz Foundation, distributed laptops to 67 deserving final-year cadets. This was not simply the distribution of 67 laptops; it was the opening of 67 new pathways to knowledge, research, digital learning and opportunity. For these young cadets, access to technology means greater possibilities to learn beyond the classroom, explore new ideas, conduct research, develop digital skills and connect with a wider world of knowledge. Each laptop is a practical tool that can support academic excellence today and help prepare these talented students for higher education and professional success tomorrow. The daughters of #Balochistan carry immense talent, determination and ambition. The young cadets studying at Girls Cadet College Turbat represent a generation that is preparing itself to step forward with confidence and purpose. Their dreams can lead them towards fields ranging from medicine, engineering and education to research, technology, entrepreneurship, public service and many other professions where their knowledge and abilities can make a meaningful difference. The collaboration between FC Balochistan (South) and Parwaz Foundation reflects the value of investing in students by providing them with the resources needed to turn their potential into achievement. When talented cadets receive education, technology and encouragement, they gain more than academic support; they gain greater access to opportunities through which they can shape their own futures and contribute to the progress of their communities. The 67 cadets who received laptops today represent 67 journeys of ambition, determination and possibility. Their classrooms are becoming gateways to a wider world, their education is opening new horizons, and their aspirations are reaching towards a future defined by knowledge, skill and achievement. Balochistan’s daughters are not waiting for the future to arrive; they are preparing themselves to shape it. From the classrooms of Turbat, a new generation is learning, growing and building the confidence to take on greater responsibilities. Their education is an investment in the province, their talent is a source of strength, and their achievements will continue to inspire countless young girls across Balochistan to dream bigger, aim higher and pursue excellence. The daughters of Balochistan are learning today, leading tomorrow and becoming the strength of a more educated, skilled and confident future. Their potential is vast, their aspirations are rising, and their journey has already begun.

Back in 2024, just a month after HYBE’s audit, and while Hyein was still recovering from an injury, NewJeans kicked off a packed, week-long run of university festival performances. They started on May 25 at Korea University, then headed to Chosun University on the 27th, where they drew a massive crowd of 45,000 people. From there, they performed at Dong-eui University and Pusan National University on the 28th, Dongguk University and Sejong University on the 30th, and wrapped things up at Chung-Ang University on the 31st. At every stop, they delivered high-energy stages, performing their new songs “How Sweet” and “Bubble Gum” alongside a lineup of their biggest hits, and the crowd response was huge throughout. Looking back, ADOR and NewJeans shared, “We received tremendous energy and so much love while performing at seven university festivals over the course of a week. We wanted to give back the love we received to college students who need support, and we’re grateful to have been given this opportunity.” And they followed through on that. While the performances helped them sharpen their skills on stage and promote their new music, all proceeds were donated to the Korea Student Aid Foundation to support low-income students, covering essentials like living expenses and housing. The foundation expressed its gratitude, saying it will do its best to help students in difficult situations continue their studies, and that it hopes this kind of generosity will inspire a lasting cycle of giving.
