While I do not have the authority to declare what he said as false, the Electoral Act 2026 makes this almost impossible. Once political parties submit names to INEC, they can't withdraw or substitute the names arbitrarily. They can only do that on two grounds: death or voluntary withdrawal. The deadline to submit names of candidates is sometime in August. Therefore, by November, the party can't on their own withdraw the name of a candidate. However, let's pray against any hangups.
