Progress Update I’ve almost finished designing the backpack system for different stages of the game. Later in the game, players will obtain a huge backpack filled with all kinds of interesting toys. I’m currently working on the delivery missions, where players will help a company transport these toys, as... well as designing the full gameplay around the backpack. When carrying this backpack, jackets will no longer be useful. NPCs will be able to notice the various toys sticking out from behind the backpack, so players will need to use the front of their body to hide them as much as possible. The delivery missions will actually take players back through the entire map in reverse — starting from the final area and returning all the way to the first location. I’m also planning a system where, if the player falls down or gets scared by someone suddenly jumping out of a trash can, the backpack may open and the strange items inside will spill out. This also gives a natural explanation for why players can discover various items inside trash cans throughout the game. In this way, I can fully utilize the backpack system while also integrating exploration and searching mechanics into the gameplay.show more

So I had a pretty good buddy system where the one guy in the squad likes to drop in with the breacher hammer and will carry my autocannon backpack to reload me. This way he has a get out of hell card if things get too close and personal. It has varying results.

The Boys Collaboration Event Page Players must choose a faction first before proceeding with the event tasks. Each faction offers different rewards. However, during the second phase of the event, players will be able to switch and choose the other faction as well. Maybe it was also part of the reason why he got sacked. Amorim meanwhile is very clear. There will be no compromise on his system, on his principles and players will have to learn his system. He believes in them completely and players will too. Absolutely the right approach by Amorim.

So a core issues I see with a lot of crypto games is: No in game peer to peer economy. (ie. The game Devs make all the $$ off the items and you buy from them not other players) Couple of things I wanted to experiment with, in regards to on chain gaming is the peer to peer economy. So the way my team set it up, is you mine the token in game, but you sell the items peer to peer in SOL. (see video for a demo) This gives you two different ways to play to earn, you can farm items, from bosses and loot boxes, and sell them to players for solana:So11111111111111111111111111111111111111112 , then other players can buy them and use them to mine the token, and sell the token to traders who will speculate on the price. Or you can just buy the loot boxes, and use the items to farm the token. This should help with the sell pressure, because before the game flow was: Buy item (in token, From devs) --->farm a ton of token---> Sell token to recoup cost of item. New flow is : Player opens loot boxes (paid in token)/ Player Plays game (in game token sinks) ---> gets item ---Lists item--> other player buy Item (From players, In SOL) ----Farms token---> sells token. Now the equation is if the loot box-player spent more game tokens to get the item compared to what he gets for in sol, and it keeps more money in the in game economy, and the market will fluctuate more based on the price of the in game token. So players who play and are "locked in" can make money off arbing and this services the "trader" archetype of player, which I feel is the major player type in web3-games. (also the token name is just a test token so dont buy random shit on pump fun, thats just using the name)

New Gameplay Additions: 1v1 Gulag & RC-XD Racing Mode In Isolated map, players who died for the first time will be sent to an isolated area, battle with another dead player. If won, they’ll be redeployed back in the map. If lost, teammates will be able to buy dog tags to redeploy the dead teammate. RC-XD Racing mode features 8 players, racing with single or multiple laps on different maps. After completing the race, players will be able to compete within the race leaderboards. ABS has been tested in the minor leagues since 2021, and 2025 will be the first test with the Major League players. About 60% of 2025 Spring Training games will be played using the ABS Challenge system. The ABS system uses a set of cameras around the field to track the pitch location and allows players on the field to challenge an umpire’s ball-strike call. ABS Challenge Rules: - Each team starts the game with two challenges. - Only the batter, the pitcher, or the catcher can challenge an umpire’s call. - A challenge must be made immediately after the umpire’s call without assistance from the dugout or other players. - A scoreboard graphic will show the location of the pitch and the result of the challenge. - Successful challenges are retained – you only lose your challenge if the umpire’s call is confirmed.

Hexagons and Octagons Those who follow football and coaching will be well aware that there are trends that emerge and become the great break through in coaching, only to vanish quite quickly. A few stick around and become a staple. Such as the rondo, or the 4v4+4 Guardiola rondo variation. One that did not stick around in the coaching collective consciousness that possible should have was Thomas Tuchel’s use of hexagonal and octagonal playing areas in training sessions. Tuchel explained that cutting off the corners and angling the pitch forced “sharp diagonal” passes that would help break the press. The positioning of players outside the hexagon/octagon or players close to the edges will be manipulated into an open body shape by the angles of the pitch. Players are impacted by environmental constraints and embodied cognition, where the geography of the playing area influences their actions. This influence spreads to the creation of triangles and diamonds within the playing area due to the “funnel” like nature of the playing area. We can use the cut outside angles by placing bounce or target players on the exterior, influencing the movement and organisation internally. The inside players will not have to move wide as those areas are occupied. The internal players will seek to create passing angles using the positioning of the outside players and their internal team mates. The diamonds and triangles will appear. If we leave the spaces on the outside empty players can move to fill the spaces. These act as free spaces to receive from the goalkeeper or open spaces for attackers to overlap into, encouraging attacking combination play and crosses. A different way of using the space is to remove goals and goalkeepers from the ends and place bounce/target players on the outside. Players now can combine with the outside players, when they do so they are then free to finish into the outside goals. The condition can be extended to combining with the target player in the opposite side of the pitch before scoring, adding an element of switching play. The hexagon and octagon are versatile spaces that help to replicate aspects of the game. By funneling the spaces we impact players body shape, ability to play forward quickly, team shape (or small group shapes), players cutting in, defending centrally, the types of combination used and the angles of line breaking pass (diagonals). Max Levchin explains why B-players hire C-players The co-founder of PayPal and Affirm reflects on the famous Steve Jobs insight that A-players hire A-players, and B-players hire C-players: “It’s profoundly true. But there should be an asterisk explaining why this is true. And the reason for this is fear.” A-players love working with other A-players because they know it will make them better. They want other A-players who challenge them and will tell them when their work isn’t good. Most B-players are net positive too, but as Max argues, some are fearful and will say: “If I have too many B-players or A-players around, I will look terrible and it’ll be very obvious that I’m just not that good. So the way to fix this is for me to become a manager and hire a bunch of people who aren’t very good at all so that I’ll look like the tallest mushroom.” Max continues: “That is the real danger of B-players. Having people who are perfectly willing to do good work day-in and day-out is not the worst thing in the world. There’s plenty of things that A-players will turn their nose from because it’s just not that challenging. B-players are very good for that [type of work]. And a lot of B-players will over time grind their way to being A-players, so you’re investing in their future and they know it, and that’s also positive. Sotheby’s and the NBA have to deal with the blowback from the “player advocate” crew who are up in arms that the players can’t keep certain items, but the reality is these players are given the platform by the NBA that make these items valuable. This may be why you saw inaccurate messaging from Sotheby’s in the New York Post - almost like a cover up from negative press. The media and the stage is what makes game worn items have value. That is an NBA value add. If the players were playing at the local YMCA, the items would have no value. So there is nothing to be afraid of. The collectible market grew. If the players want to buy their game worn Finals items they are able to just like they can buy their trading cards. They will just have to compete with the collectible community. Capitalism. The NBA is a Masterclass.
