Unpopular opinion: Car Insurance companies should give you back Money at end of the year for having no accidents or tickets.

@Amtru13 Just had a screwy exchange with Progressive for auto insurance. Horrible interface via phone, could not get a person but a ‘live’ chat was doable. Supposedly it was with a person but couldn’t talk only text. Efffing horrible. In process of changing after 20 years.
It is human to err. To really f**k things up, it takes a computer.
The real question is: Which occupations actually get the cheapest car insurance rates? Why should my job have any say in what I pay for car insurance? What I do for a living is none of any insurance company's business—period.
I will NEVER use Progressive Ins again. NEVER. They cancelled my insurance because they claimed my monthly payment wasn't on time. Then they sent me a check for the balance because I was actually paid ahead. And it was setup to autopay so no way it was late. After they "caught the issue" they wrote me a new policy because they had already canceled the my account. So I went from having 5 yr history to none and my rates went up. When I pointed it out they "fixed" it and I still paid more than I was. I got a quote from another company and they said since my policy is "new" I do not qualify as someone with history with my current provider so my quote was based on a driver with high risk. They screwed me to stay and screwed me to leave. I left and paid the extra to build history elsewhere. NEVER will I use Progressive Ins again.
A close friend worked for Progressive for many years and they suck as a company. I would never buy insurance from them just based on their annoying commercials.
I tried Progressive (from State Farm) and only lasted 3 weeks. I think Progressive customer support people fly Spirit Airlines, vacation on Carnival Cruise lines, and come from the freakin DMV! Horrible experience I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

It’s amazing how these big companies are choosing to use artificial intelligence over actual humans to do these jobs simple every day work people are passing over to artificial intelligence of which is and was created by humans! This reminds me of the idea that a human being can become more powerful than that which created it! That idea is absurd! So all the talk of artificial intelligence becoming more powerful than humans and taking over the world makes no sense because they need infrastructure in order to exist, and that infrastructure can only be created by humans! So what is the real purpose behind artificial intelligence and the idea to move towards that as a so-called evolution of humans! The singularity is near When humans transcend biology! That is a very interesting book!

Good idea to shop for new insurance very year or two. Otherwise they will never readjust your insurance premium and just hold you at a rate above what you should be paying. Good idea to do with cell service as well. People just don’t want to take the time to look for better deals!
...even so, why does a Forester have to pay more for insurance to drive their car on the same roads as everyone else does? Why stop there? Females should be charged 100x more for medical insurance than men do and there is plenty of data to prove it. Let's keep going with this BS!

This is 100% a lie lol, I've done work for progressive and that's not even an occupation listed as an option. And all rate tables are submitted to State Depts of Insurance for approval before they hit the market.
