“We must go on to demonstrate that God is intelligent. We have already proved that all perfections of all beings whatsoever pre-exist in God superabundantly. Among all the perfections found in beings, intelligence is deemed to possess a special pre-eminence, for the reason…

that intellectual beings are more powerful than all others. Therefore God must be intelligent.” St. Thomas Aquinas

That's actually one of the better explanations I've heard and it's less than 3 minutes.

The first premise is not obviously the case at all, I don’t think it follows even if you accept the act-potency distinction which is rather nonsensical already

If it doesn’t have the act in virtue of itself, them it must in virtue of a other.

Got 2 love the Dawkins wannabees who think this is based on anachronistic Greek views of physics or confuse the First Way with the Kalam. Yep....

That bank analogy of yours is way too ambiguous to establish anything. Did the person claiming he had a million dollars in a bank deposit that money into a bank at some point, or has the money always been in the bank?

That's irrelevant.

[1] Your first premise makes too many causational assumptions. If we were to analyse something like a glass of water becoming hot, a la Hume, we might not necessarily conclude that the water becomes hot due to some effect originating from outside the glass of water itself. -
