Pro-Palestine protesters in Perth targeted a joint event between the Chinese Communist Party Premier Li Qiang and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese but they only targeted the Australian PM. I asked if they would protest the CCP Premier as well but they refused. I brought up the CCP's mass... incarceration of more than one million Uyghurs in concentration camps and their only reply was: ''There's a lot of stuff going on.'' This isn't even whataboutism on my part because the event they were protesting was LITERALLY a joint event with the Chinese Communist Party Premier. This isn't like say Ben Shapiro going up to random pro-Palestine college students in New York and asking them ''so what about China?'' They knew he was just a couple hundred yards away, they knew it was a joint event between the Australian PM and the CCP Premier. But they refused to protest the CCP Premier even though Chinese trade with Israel is FAR GREATER than Australian trade with Israel. Let's just be honest here. We're in a new Cold War. These people are campists and they will never in a million criticise regimes responsible for outrageous crimes against humanity so long as these regimes notionally present themselves as the alternative to the West.
