Breaking - I am back in Portland covering Day 2 of Cloud Elvengrail's lawsuit against the City of Portland over the unlawful 24-hour Antifa occupation at the ICE facility. Elvengrail filed a writ of mandamus, asking the judge to compel the city to enforce its noise ordinances on protesters who have been using bullhorns and makeshift LRADs to harass ICE agents and residents on a nightly basis since the occupation began on June 7. Elvengrail, a black disabled woman who lives in low-income housing across the street from the ICE facility, claims she has been unable to sleep due to the ongoing occupation, which has caused her and her neighbors immense human suffering. She also told the Court that Antifa militants have been harassing her and the community, as well as engaging in acts of violence against residents. Evidence has been presented to the Court to corroborate her claims. Elvengrail says the city has failed to protect residents from the monthslong unlawful occupation. Day 1 Recap: During the initial hearing last month, the city of Portland called an Antifa militant to testify against Elvengrail on behalf of the city, who stated that protesters have no intention on vacating the occupation. Additionally, Assistant Portland Police Chief Craig Dobson testified that he believes ICE/FPS has been the main instigators of Antifa's criminal acts of violence. Dobson's testimony resulted in an evisceration by Elvengrail's attorney during cross examination. Today, the City of Portland plans on calling two more law enforcement officers to testify as witnesses, while Elvengrail's attorneys will have one more witness take the stand. I am in the courtroom reporting for The Post Millennial and will post updates on this thread. Ruling will likely come this afternoon.
