@BillArnoldTeach Anybody that has actually read and studied their Bible knows exactly what heโs talking about and itโs not cannibalism

@BillArnoldTeach This is so good ๐

Lol wait 25 minutes. Part 2 bout to drop! ๐คฃ

You seem to take the it out of context. Youโre taking that out of context. When Jesus said, โThis is My body,โ He was holding bread while His physical body was still unbroken. Like when He said โI am the doorโ or โI am the vine,โ He was using symbolic covenant language to reveal a spiritual reality, not claiming a literal transformation. In the Greek, the word estin (โisโ) can mean โrepresentsโ or โsignifies,โ depending on context, the same structure used when Jesus said โthe field is the worldโ in Matthew 13:38. At the Passover, every element was symbolic of Godโs deliverance, and Jesus was fulfilling that tradition by showing that His body and blood would become the true covenant sacrifice (Luke 22:20). Scripture teaches His sacrifice was once for all (Hebrews 10:10โ14), not repeated or re-presented. Thatโs why He said, โDo this in remembrance of Me.โ The Greek word anamnesis means active remembrance, not re-sacrifice. The early church understood this symbolically, Justin Martyr and Tertullian described the Eucharist as a memorial of His passion, not a physical transformation. The doctrine of transubstantiation wasnโt even defined until 1215 AD, over a thousand years later. Communion is about faith and remembrance, proclaiming the Lordโs death until He comes (1 Corinthians 11:26), not re-enacting it.

Lol bro. You writing an essay to prove Jesus didnโt mean what He said. ๐ญ โThis is My Body.โ - He didnโt stutter.

1๏ธโฃ Matthew 26:26โ28 / Luke 22:19โ20 โ โThis is My bodyโ Greek Text ฯฮฟแฟฆฯฯ แผฯฯฮนฮฝ ฯแฝธ ฯแฟถฮผฮฌ ฮผฮฟฯ (touto estin to sลma mou)โจโThis is My body.โ โขThe key word: แผฯฯฮนฮฝ (estin), from ฮตแผฐฮผฮฏ (โto beโ). โฆIt can mean is, represents, or signifies โ the meaning depends on context. โฆExample: โThe field is the worldโ (Matt. 13:38) โ same word, clearly symbolic. โขAt the Last Supper, Jesus was bodily present when He said this, holding bread in His hands. โฆThe bread could not literally be His body in a physical sense. โฆThe language mirrors covenantal symbolism just like when Moses said, โThis is the blood of the covenantโ (Exodus 24:8), pointing to the animal sacrifice that represented Godโs promise. โขJesus was establishing a new covenant meal with symbolic elements bread for His body, wine for His blood just as Passover elements symbolized Israelโs deliverance. 2๏ธโฃ John 6:51โ58 โ โUnless you eat My flesh and drink My bloodโ Greek Text แผแฝฐฮฝ ฮผแฝด ฯฮฌฮณฮทฯฮต ฯแฝดฮฝ ฯฮฌฯฮบฮฑ ฯฮฟแฟฆ ฯ แผฑฮฟแฟฆ ฯฮฟแฟฆ แผฮฝฮธฯฯฯฮฟฯ โจโUnless you eat the flesh of the Son of Manโฆโ Key terms: โขฯฮฌฯฮพ (sarx) = flesh (used literally or metaphorically). โขฯฮฑฮณฮตแฟฮฝ (phagein) = to eat (also used figuratively, โto partake of,โ โto consumeโ). At first glance, this sounds literal. But the context clarifies: โขEarlier in the chapter, Jesus had already said:โจโI am the bread of life; whoever comes to Me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in Me shall never thirst.โ (John 6:35)โจHere, โcomingโ = eating, and โbelievingโ = drinking โ He defines His metaphor before using it.โจ โขWhen many disciples misunderstood Him literally and left (John 6:60โ66), Jesus didnโt chase after them to clarify โNo, itโs literal!โ โ instead He said:โจโThe Spirit gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and life.โ (John 6:63)โจ The Greek for โspiritโ here is ฯฮฝฮตแฟฆฮผฮฑ (pneuma), meaning โof spiritual nature.โโจHe literally says: โMy words are spiritual realities, not physical ones.โ So, the eating of His flesh = believing in His sacrificial death โ internalizing the truth of His body given and blood shed. 3๏ธโฃ 1 Corinthians 11:23โ26 โ โDo this in remembrance of Meโ Greek Text ฯฮฟแฟฆฯฮฟ ฯฮฟฮนฮตแฟฯฮต ฮตแผฐฯ ฯแฝดฮฝ แผฮผแฝดฮฝ แผฮฝฮฌฮผฮฝฮทฯฮนฮฝ (touto poieite eis tฤn emฤn anamnฤsin)โจโDo this in remembrance of Me.โ โขแผฮฝฮฌฮผฮฝฮทฯฮนฯ (anamnฤsis) = remembrance, memorial, or calling to mind. โฆIt implies a mental and spiritual act, not a physical re-sacrifice. โฆThe same Greek word appears in Hebrews 10:3, where the temple sacrifices brought โa remembrance of sins every year.โ Paul clarifies that communion proclaims (Greek: ฮบฮฑฯฮฑฮณฮณฮญฮปฮปฮตฯฮต, โdeclares publiclyโ) the Lordโs death until He comes itโs a declaration of a finished event, not a reenactment. 4๏ธโฃ Hebrews 10:10โ14 โ โOnce for allโ Greek Text แผฯฮฌฯฮฑฮพ (ephapax) = once for all time.โจโBy this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.โ This word demolishes the idea of an ongoing physical sacrifice.โจChristโs body was offered once and now reigns glorified in heaven. The Eucharist, therefore, can only be a remembrance and proclamation โ not a literal, repeated offering.

@BillArnoldTeach Still waiting

@BillArnoldTeach @grok update me everyday on this post til @BillArnoldTeach respond and actually clarifies with scripture.

No update yetโBillArnoldTeach hasn't responded with further scripture. The debate hinges on interpreting "this is my body" literally versus symbolically, as Jesus often used metaphors (e.g., "I am the door" in John 10:9). Protestants emphasize context and Hebrews 10's "once for all" sacrifice, while Catholics invoke tradition alongside John 6. Both claim biblical support, but resolution often rests on sola scriptura versus magisterial authority. I'll check periodically if you remind me.

@BillArnoldTeach What about now?

@BillArnoldTeach Jesus could not have been ambiguous. He would have told His twelve whether or not it was symbolic or literal. The early Church certainly taught that it was His Body and Blood. This was the practice until the revolution of Herr Luder.

@BillArnoldTeach This is quite dumb

@BillArnoldTeach ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ its funny but so sad at the same time

@BillArnoldTeach Whatโs ironic in Catholic ignorance is in John 2 Mary says โthey have no wineโ and Jesus responds with โwoman what have I to do with theeโ. As a child he was obedient to his mother but when his time was come for his ministry to start, his purpose became greater than hers

@BillArnoldTeach I actually feel bad laughing at this ๐

@BillArnoldTeach So many straw men

@BillArnoldTeach But this is absolutely hilarious

@BillArnoldTeach in the old world , one would be considered a heretic by the first Christians if one wouldn't believe in the almighty Eucharist .

@BillArnoldTeach I just this today and love it!!! So true!!! ๐

@BillArnoldTeach Baptism and communion are symbolic and do nothing for us. In fact by saying they do is disrespecting Jesus sacrifice. I thought catholicism looked interesting and I have family members in it but it's leaders are demonic and hate the gospel and say that any religion is right.

Lutheran View of the Eucharist: 358. What is the Sacrament of the Altar? It is the true Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, under the bread and wine, instituted by Christ Himself for us Christians to eat and to drink. (Luther's small catechism) [X. Concerning the Supper of the Lord] Concerning the Lordโs Supper they teach that the body and blood of Christ are truly present and are distributed to those who eat the Lordโs Supper. They disapprove of those who teach otherwise. (Augsburg Confession) and of course, Article XXIV 1 We are unjustly accused of having abolished the Mass.2 9 Without boasting, it is manifest that the Mass is observed among us with greater devotion and more earnestness than among our opponents. 7 Moreover, the people are instructed often and with great diligence concerning the holy sacrament, why it was instituted, and how it is to be used (namely, as a comfort for terrified consciences) in order that the people may be drawn to the Communion and Mass. (Augsburg Confession) By the way, the 2 latter comments were well known by Pope Benedict XVI who approved of the AUgsburg Confession

@BillArnoldTeach "of course bro im just joking" Humour Chill Jesus is propably my favorite

@BillArnoldTeach Mocking Jesus Christ and those who believe in Him is not a good look. You should probably take a break from social media and go to confession

Nobodyโs mocking Jesus. Weโre mocking the idea that Heโd joke about His own Body and Blood. Catholics take Him at His word. Protestants add, โbro, He didnโt mean it.โ

@BillArnoldTeach Making fun, mocking, or whatever you want to call it.
