The people of Lamu may not fully understand who they are dealing with. The man coming to preside over the groundbreaking is a ruthless politician, and forgiveness does not appear to be part of his vocabulary. He has already called protesters “treasonous criminals.” The people of Lamu may ultimately pay a heavy price for what has happened here. I have mentioned anyone but you already know who I am talking about. I like your thinking.

I am not a Lawyer, my understanding is that the Court did not grant an injunction stopping the groundbreaking; it ordered preservation of the status quo on LR No. 13061 pending the 14 October inter partes hearing in the Malindi Environment and Land Court Case No. E129 of 2026.
