The saints that were martyred horrendously yet were glad for it. Visiting the churches from the 1st c. And seeing the murals depicting their suffering bc they knew beyond a doubt Jesus rose from the dead makes it very real to me. From being skinned alive, having a mouth full of teeth pulled, etc. yet they saw Jesus just like Stephen in Acts when he was stoned and saw the Lord in heaven… incredible!

Faith exists absent of proof and needs no proof at all. There is no need to prove religion. It isn't that kind of thing. I am not Catholic but believe Catholics must protect and defend their faith from being destroyed by any other faith, and we all know what I am referring to.

I believe Jesus did exist, but the things this guy lists as proof of his existence are not solid and concrete enough to claim as proof. Human suffering arises naturally from the conditions of existence in a varied, physical world. You cannot have pleasure without pain, and you don’t need a resurrection to justify why it exists. The gospels were also written 70 years after Jesus’s crucifixion, composed by early Christians who already believed in the resurrection. Since we can’t factually verify what Christ actually said outside the stories that were later written, you can’t consider later writings about Jesus’s prediction of his death as proof of his existence. You also can’t use the Shroud of Turin as solid proof because the Shroud of Turin has not been scientifically verified as authentic or as definitely originating from the 1st century. At this point it all relies on individual faith, because there is no solid proof of his existence, and anyone making such claims is irresponsible.

There is proof, just not time to lay it all out. There is a lot of substantiating evidence that was seized by the vatican and rome when they hunted down the first century "Nazarenes", not to include the mainstream shills that refuse to acknowledge some of the alleged fringe theories of Yeshuas real human life that did in fact take place. History shows the disciples went from hiding in total terror on Friday to boldly preaching the resurrection a few weeks later, facing torture and execution for it. People don't willingly get tortured and killed for a hoax they know they personally made up.

The resurrection message started in Jerusalem, right where Jesus was buried, just weeks after the crucifixion. If it was a lie, his enemies would have just dragged his body into the street to end it. Instead, the movement exploded on the spot. Why couldn’t they produce a body?
