I read through some comment here and I feel like correcting some of you. Leave the politics the governors and ex governors play and see that this is a commendable initiative. If the north must come out of poverty, this kind of project should be encouraged.

We are at historic levels of US production and US exports. We want to be able to do more. We were already in talks with them to do more, we want to be a bigger part of their portfolio. We also think that there are opportunities with Venezuelan oil. It is my understanding that the interim President of Venezuela will be travelling to India next week as well. There is a lot to work on with India. They are a great ally, a great partner. We do a lot of good work with them. So, this is an important trip. I am glad we are able to do it. On behalf of the government and the people of Plateau State, I appreciate UNICEF for their swift response and the interest they have shown in the calamity that has befallen us, their intervention has given us hope. As a government we will continue to collaborate with all our international partners and make sure we maximize all the services they can render to our people. I also pleaded with them to ensure the people return to their communities by providing things that make life easier to the community like water,education as we start the program of ‘return to the community’. I appreciate them for coming and I look forward to collaborating more with our international partners.

No Labour MP was voted in to remove the winter fuel allowance for millions of pensioners. It wasn’t in their manifesto.
