PRX alecks explains why Paper Rex chose LEVIATÁN as their first opponent: "We tried to pick a team that we think we will have the most fun with rather than someone that we wanted to beat" "That's pretty much what me and Ash [Wendler] talked about in the days...

PRX alecks reflects on the team's playstyle and how it has evolved over the years: "I think we've just got a lot more careful. I think that was a bit disappointing on our side because I think we know how to shut this down because we used to do these kinds of things and we couldn't do it today because, again, like I said, we forgot. I can go through the years, but between 2022 to 2024, we pretty much just made sure that everything was strat-based and we just charged people and hoped that we had better mechanics. Then around 2025, I think we took a look at the year and with how good Yoru was, we just tried to leverage the fact that Yoru could be everywhere on the map and we tried to make sure that we understood the game on a micro level a lot better. Maybe for all you know, it came back to bite us in the ass today. What we needed to do was win the fight and then [inaudible], and we used to be very good at that. So if the meta stays the same, I can promise you that we will be back to our best charging people." (via Manguitouu Sons of KS)

🇫🇷 PRX alecks: "It felt like today we were desperate to win. I think the emotional part of the finals is the thing that is difficult for us to overcome because we are an emotionally driven team and sometimes it gets the better of us. Today is one of those days where we forget everything that we have practiced and everyone is trying to win the game for the team. It snowballs into terrible mistakes that they feel really bad for. It seems to be that in grand finals, the team that plays tighter, in a sense, because we play a very loose style, and this thing backfires on us when it matters the most sometimes. Unfortunately, it's a live by the sword, die by the sword kind of thing for us. We'll have to figure out how to make sure that when we arrive in grand finals, we can still keep the same play style without having the weight of expectation on our own shoulders. This time, we lost to our own emotions, not taking anything away from LEVIATÁN. I think we have another level that we can get to, and I think it'll be a nicer grand final, or at least a nicer final map." #VALORANTMasters via zhobiii

PRX coaching staff alecks and Wendler reflect on what made it so difficult to get things going against NS RedForce: alecks: "They're very good, pretty much. I think they had a very good game plan on Split and we had no answer for it and I think that was the main issue. Corrode, I think we probably should have closed it out if we did a little bit better on certain rounds, but it is what it is. Sometimes you don't win crucial rounds and these things happen. But on Abyss, we knew it was going to be a tough match regardless. I think we had like 10 hours to prepare, so it wasn't the best, but we tried our best and I think Nongshim is a great team. I think they play very, very, very well together and we played against them for a long, long time, so we already knew that they were very, very good, so we're not really too bummed about it." Wendler: "I'd probably say the same. I think Corrode just got away from us at the end and we just lost a little bit of confidence going into map two. And when you give a team like Nongshim that type of space to just ramp up their confidence, it's really hard to come back from. We've seen them do that to plenty of teams this tournament. So we tried to do what we could to stall them out. We just ran out of gas." (via Pedro Romero)

Arteta: “We came here to win the game. I think the message was clear from three days before. We prepared to do that, to take the game to the areas that we believed we could win it. We certainly did that, even though we started the game with a goal down and psychologically we had to play with that. We've done it. “So we proved that we are there, but the reality is in the two boxes today was a difference and that's what decided the game. The styles have been different for the profile of players that we have available as well in certain areas, but the difference was 100 per cent, yes.”

Me and my mates caused this: We turned up at their wedding uninvited and started fighting with the guests and they had the cheek to tell us to leave because we were ruining their wedding when it was only a few of us and not everyone. Then they tried to lock the doors. But we held them open while more came in. We didn’t like the music either so we made the DJ to swerve the Motown and play some techno to suit us. It was an all inclusive bar and a free buffet so we stayed to the end even though we didn’t like it there. I just wanted to call the family out and tell you all how intolerant they were to us. I’ve never been made to feel so unwelcome. We had just as much of a right to be there as anyone else. It was a public building. They don’t own it. I’m sure you will all agree that the family were bang out of order. We only ruined their wedding the crying cnts. Horrible people.

"I think for the first part of the season, a fair number of games, I think we were a pretty stingy team with that collective effort, especially on the defensive side of the puck. I think we've lost a little bit of that just attention to detail and just collective play, cooperative play as a group. It's a whole lot more difficult to beat collective effort than it is to beat isolated effort. I think we're not quite connected like we were and that's what we've got to get back to." - Mike Sullivan

🇫🇷 PRX alecks: "To quote Ilia [something], you have to grow as people as well so that you can accept criticism. To stick together for this long, you have to make sure that everyone is progressing together, and I think that's a very difficult thing to do, and we managed to do that" zhobiii asks alecks what has kept PRX so consistent and adaptable across different metas, and which evolution of the team has been his favorite: "I think we've always tried to play the game our way. I think that's a big part of it. Also, the boys put a lot of trust in the coaching staff. It's been an honor to coach these guys. I'm very, very proud of them and they have managed to evolve as players and as people, and I think that's a very commendable thing. That's allowed them to go past metas again and again. To quote Ilia [something] because he's said this before in one of our team talks, you have to grow as people as well so that you can accept criticism. To stick together for this long, you have to make sure that everyone is progressing together, and I think that's a very difficult thing to do, and we managed to do that. And because of that, I know it's an out-of-game thing, but I think it affects how we look at the game and how we approach every situation, win or lose. We have had bad losses before and we're still here. We've learned from all these experiences. As my favorite meta, no matter what, it would be 2023 Champs when I could see Jinggg play Raze at high speed because he could really satchel really far, so we could make the most creative plans from it. After that, I think watching something play Yoru was a very pleasurable thing to witness at least too."

PRX alecks: "The highs of 2023 and the lows of 2024 helped us to be where we are today. Having a performance coach like Panda really helps. The fact that our organization believes in us and told us to take as long as we need to figure things out gives us a lot of security and allows us the opportunity to work on our game. I want to thank the fans, even though we had a shit year, let’s be real, I think everyone had our backs, and that really pushed us forward to where we are now." #VALORANTMasters

NRG Strong on the lessons they can take away from their loss to Paper Rex: "I would say the major lesson we probably had was the importance of setting up the players for success. I don't think we did as well as we could today. Maybe there's one or two things we could have done better. I think the major lesson, to be fair, is that our fundamentals are strong. We didn't play badly at all today. But because of how we are as a team, it can always come down to very tight margins. We're a team that doesn't generally blow teams out. We're a team that is so, so good at grinding out rounds and doing that sort of stuff. So I think the big lesson is: we're good, our fundamentals are good, we just have to be tight, and we just can't let anything for error slip in. There are lessons to be taken from this. This wasn't a bad loss. You get bad losses sometimes. It didn't feel like, 'Oh, we don't know what went wrong.' No, we know what went wrong. It's one or two small things, and it's things that we can adapt to, and it's things that will be better under different circumstances, and things that we can make the circumstances better for as well. So yeah, I think that would be the big lesson. We just have to be tight in these circumstances and there's no room for error on our end. That's a big, big, big thing."

JAKE MENT #제이크 #JAKE 🦮Just like what Ni-ki said, I don’t think these three shows have ever gone by this quickly. It was that fun, and I think we really enjoyed it so much. Did you all have fun too? 🦮As we were preparing for this tour, we really thought about a lot of things. The six of us put in a lot of thought, but in the end, we started with the idea that we wanted to create a concert stage together with ENGENE. I think that’s why we were able to have this much fun. 🦮More than anything, to all the ENGENEs in Korea who filled all three shows, thank you so, so much. We’ll go on the world tour safely and come back healthy, everyone. 🦮Until we see you again, please stay healthy, stay happy, don’t cry, and wait for us well. 🦮We love you so much. I love you guys. Let’s meet again next time.

M8 starxo reflects on whether underestimating All Gamers led to the defeat: "I don't know as well. Maybe a little bit. We wanted to go with a lot of confidence into this match. After the last loss we said that we're gonna go super confident. We want to disrespect them but at the same time we don't want to go too much. We got humbled. I believe the reason was that they were just better individually. Tactically they were okay, but they played normal. I think individually they were on a much better level today. This happens. We didn't win a single pistol, I think, or maybe one. No, there is no excuses. They are the better team today. They deserve to win. They deserve to go next. We didn't show up to our level today and we just got humbled. And they need to step up a little bit for the future."

Kevin Durant says the Warriors never addressed the Draymond Green incident, ultimately leading to him leaving the team “It wasn't the argument. Let's just wipe our hands of that and go finish the task.’ I don't think we did that.
