ps4 game from early 2015

Haven't played this one, mostly because it was always crazy expensive for a couple hours of game. Still 40€ btw...

Yeah its short and a bit boring gameplay. Was more interested in the story and the techart/ 3d art. Thats when they pbr was fresh. They mixed the Materials in the engine with masks a lot and used some projection in Mari which added some grit. It still beats most games visually.

@psergiomr I love this game! Gameplay could be better, definitely. But everything else was brilliant. Would have loved a sequel to this. Graphics peaked in 2015.

@psergiomr Thats when pbr got introduced to finished games but not long ago other advancements been made. Making the same jump requires a lot more and even tho we have nanite, lumen, more data streaming, it all cost compute. Because of covid, crypto and AI, the average gpu is about a 1080.

Plateauing like crazy indeed, diminishing returns... Peaked is the wrong word, but we achieved a quality where the pursuit of higher graphical fidelity makes much less sense considering the considerable investment it requires. Global illumination and raytraced reflections are nice, but I don't need them in order to enjoy the art of something like The Order 1886.

@psergiomr Yeah there is still more than higher visual compute. concept art, setting right light, camera angles, limited color palette, voice acting, texturing especially grit, etc. (if it aint a cheap mobile game ofc)

Gameplay blows. I bought it on launch and recently went back, yikes

Yeah, gameplay is not very good

Shadowfall was my GOAT when i first got the PS4. First ever FPS i played. Loved The Cyberpunk vibe of it. Less world war and more Night city in space.

still holds up graphically

Easily

Looks great but plays terrible, worst Killzone ever. So bad it sent the series into hibernation

KILLZONE… MY BELOVED

Bro....we really had an infamous right after the launch...in 2014!!!!

So, what happened to the gaming industry? after watching this video, it feels like we haven't made any progress at all in the field of graphics.

Only problem is that Vecta looks nothing like this in Killzone 1. In the first game it is pretty much just earth like. Then in this game they have waterfalls everywhere for some reason.

killed the killzone franchise. Gameplay was boring, MP too and the story was so horrible stupid

The Order 1866 was also pretty impressive for a PS4 tech demo

Game name ?

Ahhh Killizone franchise. Shame I missed out on the ShadowFall because I didn't have a Ps4 back then. Though, I played Killzone 1-3, it's an absolute Masterpiece!

我还喜欢ps3时代的杀戮地带

damn, what is this game?

I actually quite enjoyed Shadowfall, even if it wasn't all that great gameplay wise

Love me a bit of KillZone.

And it was so bad it killed the franchise dumbass

Good ol days before nvidia started the rtx scam and pretended that lighting and reflections didn’t exist before ray tracing

It's a shame it ran like crap and the gameplay was terrible. My PS4 sounded like a jet engine taking off trying to run the game

Guerrilla Games = Wizards.

We've lost TOO many series

Unreal game…held up beyond its years

This is the only generation of consoles where the last gen still could pass as current gen 6 years in.

I miss Killzone

If you played this game you would know it was fucking terrible lol

Which you didn't buy

I did, and i replayed it last year

Graphically good but the gameplay was awful. Unfortunately killed Killzone and guerilla never made them again.

Back when games actually ran at their resolution and didn’t need upscaling 💔🥀

@grok which game is this.

No i to była turbo chujowa gra xD Były 2-3 fajne poziomy, a reszta gry do wyjebania. Najgorszy killzone jaki powstał.

Another game that needed time to cook, visuals was done but the AI and level design was not complete

One of the worst fps games I've ever played. A Liquid 3/10 game.

You should show the gameplay BTW it plays like a PS3 game

Clever tricks can let buildings you never get to go to look real pretty.
