That's the thing though, was it graded a 10 and they made a mistake when updating internally or was it a 9 and for some reason it was printed as a 10? Second one is less likely to me

@Mantee Wouldn’t there still be an up charge at a 9? A 9 is still wildly expensive and I’m pretty sure the upcharge is for insuring a more valuable card

OK, I’m older than most of you and I remember sending cards in to Beckett ($9) out of a page in the back of the Beckett lol! They didn’t charge us more when we got a good grade. I don’t understand how everybody’s OK with getting ripped off these days with these grading services? I paid you a fee do your job. My card comes back perfect so what? Why should you get a penny of it? I already paid you for your service. The whole thing is just a scam on the customers I don’t get how people are OK with it at all I really don’t…

I don’t know why anybody trusts a PSA in general.. The reputation is a dump! TAG should be the future.

PSA should never up charge. I pay for a service, I paid or pulled the card. Do your job and graded the thing @PSAcard we dont need you nickle and diming ppl.

This shit company needs knocking down a few pegs but the sheep wont allow it. CGC, TAG, ACE all do a better job, but the community values PSA slabs 10x more. I've seen people open fresh gem mint cards from vintage packs to get a 6-7 from PSA because they gatekeep to inflate price

Well if you recall, the last time PSA went viral for this "mistake", the customer only found out after selling their newly graded cards through PSA and checking the serial numbers after the fact. PSA's excuse at the time was the grades were changed in QC. But if that's the case, then why are you making offers to buy cards that haven't completed the grading process? It's a simple question with a simple answer, and yet we really don't get one from them. That certainly doesn't help silence the countless conspiracy theories out there surrounding their graders, pop control, and their relationships with these vendors. And we haven't explored the secondary issue of just how many serial numbers are getting "upgraded" after PSA tells you that grades are ready and they're making offers to buy your newly graded cards! Transparency in their grading process would resolve this, but I'm starting to get the impression this won't ever be on the table unless these complaints hurt their bottom line!

Tough to tell, these are taken from their system itself and printed on the label. So anything that's in system goes straight to the label.

They are so bullshit. I sent 9 cards in at the ending of March through gamestop and these fuxkers just decided to call me to tell me its been lost. Im 100% sure the cards never left PSA and they made it seem like it was lost in transit so they can regrade it and sell them at 10’s

What happened is there was an error. The error was PSA accidentally sent the card out.

They flip 9s for 10s through GameStop…..

My buddy hard card graded recently. 1st edition Lapras, not marked as 1st edition. They graded a hunter as a cosmic edition but it isn’t. They make errors left and right either on purpose or on accident but it seems to frequent to be accidents.

Here’s what I think happened. I think they try to buy his card but I guess he said no and I guess they went onto the system and changed it from a 10 to 9.

This is why if I pull a grandmaster rare over the weekend with my brother I’m going to tag or something. PSA in my opinion has really dropped the ball a lot recently and lost my respect ever since they did that scam with Logan Paul where he bought a psa 7 or 8 (I don’t remember which one) and he had them regrade it and it magically became a 10 even though in all the pictures you can see the boarder isn’t in the best shape
