I promise you, clicking those boxes and buttons doesn’t stop them from reading your emails and attachments. Everything you have EVER done digitally is recorded in a massive data center. All your emails, voice messages, FaceTime calls, search histories, website visits, texts, etc.

Google said many years ago that for the free gmail they now openly scan Gmail. LThis is just the next stage in their evolution of not giving a crap about your privacy. It’s one the reasons not to trust Google.

Do that and your email loses all the folders and filters and it shows everything looking the same. Google are not stupid. Use a different email provider.

Turning these features of in Gmail is like kicking a robber out of your house and leaving the door open. Google has always scanned your emails and will continue to do that. If you don't want your emails scanned and sniffed, don't use email. Hate it when people like this woman make it seem like your information is all of tye sudden safe because you toggled a few options off.

The ironic part is that if you use AI to scan your TOS, it's in there and they tell you about it. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone in 2025. Want to use Google? Gotta submit. Want to use your phone? Gotta submit. Want Internet in your home? Gotta submit. Our digital footprint is being scraped and collected. Every click, message, website, etc. Saved. Tell me, what's new?

I use Proton. Hopefully that's a good one security wise. I figure if it's free, there's a catch. It's OK to pay for things, we do it for every other product sitting on a shelf.
