Imagine spending almost your whole life, - in primary secondary, and university schools, NYSC... Then you work 9-5 five days a week, 250 days a year. And you say I shouldn't desire to be rich or financially free? Meanwhile, the scriptures made direct references to finances... 1. Deuteronomy 8:18 - God gives us the power to make wealth 2. Proverbs 13:22 - A good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children, and the sinner's wealth for the righteous 3. 1 Timothy 5:8 - Anyone who can't provide for his family is worse than an infidel 4. Proverbs 18:11 - The wealth of the rich is their fortified city. 5. Mark 10:30 - Followers of Jesus would receive a hundredfold of houses, brethren, sisters, mothers, children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. 6. Luke 14:28 - Counting the cost before building 7. Matthew 25:27 - Investing money with the bankers 8. 2 Corinthians 9:8 - "And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." 9. Proverbs 10:22 - "The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, without painful toil for it." 10. Proverbs 21:5 - "The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty." 11. Proverbs 22:7 - "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender." 12. Ecclesiastes 5:19 - "Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God." 13. Psalm 34:100 - "The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing." 14. Psalm 37:4 - "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." 15. Matthew 6:33 - "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" 16. Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." 17. Isaiah 60:5 - "Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come." 18. Ecclesiastes 11:1-2 - "Ship your grain across the sea; after many days you may receive a return. Invest in seven ventures, yes, in eight; you do not know what disaster may come upon the land." 19. Proverbs 28:20 - "A faithful person will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished." 20. 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 - "Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

All I can say is that I have tasted poverty, heavy one, and it WASN'T where I wanted to be. I saw from God's word - the Bible, that God has something much better for me. I trusted him to get out and I did got out and has kept expanding and helping others through what God has given me. Anyone who wants to rationalize poverty is very welcome. My Christian Journey is simple: I see what God wants for me in the scripture, I believe it and act on His principles, I win. I don't have time for think pieces.

Believers should go and Study the Ministry of Jesus Christ. He was not Wealthy, he never lacked anything . When he needs something he uses his Faith to make it happen. He fed five thousand people without spending money. God can use various means to help his Church.

@SpiricocoNg Now this is sound, it is also not exactly what you've been tweeting... But THIS! ... 💯

Y'all need to listen to the full series of this message. Some of us have idolized wealth in the guise of fulfilling kingdom mandate. And that is what the message is addressing. The fact is every Christian will not be rich True or False? Now if his perfect will...

Fantastic view. I wholly agree with this teaching. The thing however is that too many people will only hear what they want to hear from this snippet. Goal: To fulfill God’s will. Sometimes that goal will come alongside riches and sometimes it won’t. If your own version of God’s will has riches attached, you don hit jackpot be that. Anyone who reads the Bible and says Jesus was rich misses it. Jesus was comfortable on earth, not rich. Let’s distinguish “rich” from “comfortable”. The will of God will make sure you are comfortable (nothing missing, nothing broken, nothing lacking). Comfortable means your school fees will show up 2 days before the deadline, but you want it sitting in the account 6 months before. Comfortable sometimes means living on the brink of survival. Comfortable might mean “no buffer”. Thing is, our 21st century living doesn’t take kindly to living comfortably. We have dreams and aspirations that comfortable will not get us. That said, “Lord please let me own path for you have riches on it oooo”

This is a very sound teaching. Unfortunately, many believers including ministers of the gospel will quarrel with this message.

This is very accurate. I heard Apostle Arome about this same topic Spiricoco you can look for that message. Apostle Arome balanced it Very well. Riches is good but isn't the goal.

We do not desire to be rich, we are rich .... One who is rich does not any longer desire to be what he already is. He has blessed us with all spiritual blessing. He emptied his store house of blessing on us so we do not desire to be rich. We are rich.
