⚽️🔥 Something different, unique and creative, this is a Keepitonthedeck Academy Session Plan🔥⚽️ This is a rondo transfer hybrid, development in the chaos 👇 🚀 What’s the focus? • Possession under pressure • Quick transitions • Decision making ⚡️ How it works: • Blues + neutral create a 5v2 in the middle • 🎯 Complete 5 passes = score • 🔄 Lose it? Immediate transition to defend • 🔴 If Reds win it → transfer across zones to score • 🧠 Constant thinking, scanning, adapting 💡 Why this session is creative? • Game realistic chaos = repetitions in challenging environment • Attack + defense instantly • Encourages speed of play + awareness • Builds composure under pressure 📏 Set-Up: • 3 zones (central + 2 end zones) • 2 teams of 4 players (3 Neutrals) • 2 target goals • High intensity, short bursts (4 min sets) 🎯 Coaching Detail: • 👀 Scan early, play faster • 📐 Create angles & spacing • 🗣️ Communicate CONSTANTLY • 🔄 Transition and press with intent • ⚡ Encourage positive forward actions 💬 This is the kind of practice that turns training principles into MATCH PERFORMANCE. A staple of FC Barcelona Training. Recent Session Footage 🔵🔴 FC Barcelona 4v4+3 (Centre Circle) 👥 (incl. 2 GKs as Neutrals) ⚽️ In possession: 2 players must stay in each half for passes to count 🔄 After set passes → attack either goal (❌ not straight from GK pass) 🟥 Pressing team free to chase anywhere , but must also structure 2 per half when they win it 🎯 Focus: positional discipline, quick passing, structured transitions 📥 More training session plans can be downloaded here:

My #SundayShare is 2 v 1 practice looking at forward passing and movement to receive. A key task is off the ball movement - players must time their run to receive in the central channel (which defenders cannot enter) to progress to the final third. Coaching points: · Positioning to receive: ideally on the half turn. · Movement off the ball: looking for space and angles to receive. · Decision-making: timing of runs and the pass. · Technique – weight of pass; also angle. · Creativity: core moves, especially blind side runs, diagonal run/straight ball and vice versa. Progression: 2nd defender can enter the zone. Nice first pre-season session with the U11 on Fri. #SundayShare The Sporting Resource #2v1

🔥 Roberto De Zerbi's COACHING Throw-In Insights 🔥 📌 Elite-level details... 🧠 1. No straight lines! 🚫➡️ Players stay OFF the same line as the thrower. Why? It’s too easy for opponents to run through on a straight line and press any return pass to the thrower. 📐 2. Angle is EVERYTHING. ↗️🔁 Receivers position at an angle—not in a straight line. This forces defenders to change direction if pressing a bounce pass to the thrower, making pressing harder. 💪 3. Contact BEFORE movement. 👊👣 Receiving player bumps their marker before checking away. This throws defenders off balance & creates vital separation. #SmartMoves 🌍 4. Spread the field. 🧍‍♂️↔️🧍‍♂️ Thrower has options on BOTH sides = more chances to play forward, back, or central. Spacing = Decision-making power. 💡 🚀 These are just a few nuggets from one of football's most tactical minds. 📲 Follow us for more breakdowns! 📥 Coaches: Get your hands on our NEW 2025 Session Plans — hit the link in our bio or below now! 👇

🔴 Take 30 seconds to read and understand this Liverpool positional practice under Andoni Iraola. We’ve seen this practice shared on other pages who try to replicate what we do, but the explanations have been wrong. First of all, this is a 6v5 positional practice, not 6v6 or 5v5. In the first zone, the practice is played as a 5v4 and within an area 16(L) x 28(W) Yards. The players are deliberately positioned to replicate: ▪️ Two centre backs on the end line (They can step in) ▪️ Two inverted wide players ▪️ One central pivot ▪️ Two mini goals representing players between the lines AKA number 10 positions. The top zone is then played as a 1v1. The practice is designed to recreate central overloads when Liverpool have controlled possession in the opposition half, that's why it is setup in that part of the pitch, again deliberately so. The 1v1 represents a potential moment when an opposition centre back steps forward to track a player receiving between the lines, and spaces appear to run into. This creates an important decision for the team in possession. After completing a set number of passes, can they: ⚽ Play into a mini goal (10 positions between lines), for one point? Or… ⚽ Release the attacker with a well timed forward pass beyond for two points if a goal is scored? The attacker must remain onside, angle their run beyond the defender and finish into either target goal. If the pressing team regains possession, their objective is to attack quickly and score in transition into the mini target goals just beyond the halfway line. The purpose of the practice is to develop pictures, connections and decisions when dominating possession high up the pitch. Can we play through the opposition when the space is available, or play beyond them when they step forward? From there, the coaching principles begin: ✅ Play forward when it’s on ✅ Recognize when to play through or beyond ✅ Maintain positional connections ✅ React immediately in transition And so on! That’s session planning, and a real insight into the detail behind the practice. Save this for your next session and follow us for more ⚽ #FootballCoaching #SoccerCoaching #PositionalPlay #LiverpoolFC #AndoniIraola #CoachDevelopment #FootballTactics #SoccerDrills #FootballTraining

My #SundayShare is a breaking lines practice. Teams locked in zones look for opening for penetrative pass to a teammate for a point (waist high limit on passes). If intercepted, the other team tries the same. Coaching points: · Positioning: to receive both on half turn (in own area) and square to receive penetrative pass. · Scanning: where are the gaps? · Receiving: controlling with good first touch. · Movement: to receive and offset opponents. · Technique: firm push pass with follow through. · Deception: feint pass. Progressions: (1) players on two touches; (2) first time penetrative pass = 2; (3) after two passes, one opponent can enter the quarter for a 1 v 3. If they win the ball they pass back to their teammates and re-join their group. Formed first practice in whole – part - whole session with the U11 as part of Block 3 of the training syllabus. The part was 2 v 2 in a square connecting with servers and final game was standard match with constraint GK must play out from the back. #SundayShare The Sporting Resource AscCloud #coaching
