#PostOfficeScandal #FUJITSU #GOODWILL THE MR BATES EFFECT: HOW TO APOLOGISE YOUR WAY OUT OF ACCOUNTABILITY January 2024: ITV's "Mr Bates vs The Post Office" airs. Public outcry forces Fujitsu to testify. Paul Patterson admits: "moral obligation" to compensate victims. SEc of State writes to Fujitsu Global CEO demanding urgent talks. January 2026: Fujitsu has paid £0. Here's how they did it. The drama changed everything. Millions watched. Public fury. Parliamentary hearings. Media firestorm. Fujitsu dragged before MPs. Forced to admit they KNEW Horizon was faulty since the 1990s. Forced to admit they HELPED jail innocent people. Paul Patterson: "We have a moral obligation to contribute." Finally. Accountability. Right? WRONG. Secretary of State Kemi Badenoch wrote to Fujitsu CEO Takahito Tokita within days: "I would welcome a discussion with you on the type of response Fujitsu might make and the role you foresee Fujitsu playing towards securing justice." That was TWO YEARS AGO. The "discussion" is allegedly ongoing. Compensation contribution is still £ZERO What HAS happened in those two years: ❌ Zero pounds paid to victims ✅ Retained £3.5bn+ in UK govt contracts ✅ Continued bidding for public sector work ✅ Kept saying "we'll pay after Inquiry concludes" ✅ Victims continued dying while waiting The TV drama was the trigger. The apologies were the smoke screen. The inaction is the strategy. This is the playbook for surviving a national scandal: STEP 1: Deny for 20 years STEP 2: TV drama forces your hand STEP 3: Apologise emotionally ("truly sorry") STEP 4: Admit "moral obligation" STEP 5: Demand inquiry must conclude first STEP 6: Hold onto government contracts STEP 7: Pay nothing STEP 8: Wait for public opinion to move on IT'S WORKED TO DATE. MEET THE BARRISTER THE POST OFFICE FEARS Here's a name that deserves to trend more than half the people who actually do. Sam Stein KC. While the Post Office was busy ruining ordinary people's lives over money that was never actually missing, Stein was in a courtroom taking it apart piece by piece. He represents most of the subpostmasters at the Post Office Horizon Inquiry Post Office Horizon IT Inquiry, instructed by Howe and Co Howe + Co Solicitors, on behalf of the people the Post Office tried to bury. In 2021 he stood in the Court of Appeal representing a group of subpostmasters, instructed by Howe and Co Howe + Co Solicitors, in the same case that finally cleared Jo Hamilton Jo Hamilton and dozens of others after years of wrongful convictions. He told the judges the Post Office's refusal to investigate its own broken Horizon system, built by Fujitsu Fujitsu UK, was the longest running affront to British justice in living memory. The judges agreed and quashed the convictions. Then the public inquiry started and Stein really got going. He told the inquiry the Post Office had turned itself into "the nation's most untrustworthy brand." A blunt summary, backed by 2.2 million pages of evidence. He described former Post Office lawyer Mandy Talbot as "the Post Office's very own evil robot" after she was asked repeatedly who had directed a legal strategy built to silence a subpostmaster and kept saying she couldn't remember. Convenient amnesia. Goes around a lot in this organisation. He summed up a whole phase of hearings by calling the parade of witnesses "a rogues' gallery." Executives who forgot everything except how to protect themselves. Questioning executive Angela van den Bogerd about the Post Office's own helpline, he told her she had been "intimidating and bullying" toward subpostmistress Jennifer O'Dell, who kept calling to say she hadn't stolen a penny. She was telling the truth. Nobody listened for years. In his closing submission for phase 2, he told the inquiry to work out whether the entire scandal was a "cock-up or cook-up." By phase 3 he had his answer. Cook-up, no doubt about it. He said the Post Office spent that entire phase dodging its own failures and instead "turned its tank turret gun on Fujitsu." Subpostmasters called the organisation that prosecuted them "the abuser." Questioning former minister Pat McFadden about it, Stein got that word onto the official record, permanently. In his final closing statement, Stein made the point that mattered most. This was never really a problem with a computer. It was a problem with people, and people paid the price. He said what actually drove the scandal was "cruelty, callousness and connivance," and that people are still living with the consequences. He also named former CEO Paula Vennells, executive Angela van den Bogerd and in-house lawyer Jarnail Singh as part of a rogues' gallery remembered for lies and incompetence, and pointed out £37 million received by the Post Office is still unaccounted for. Nobody's chasing it. Urgency always disappears when it's the institution's own money at stake. He also said the external law firm Cartwright King failed subpostmasters, because by the time its lawyers were brought in, they had become company men. Stein also pushed the inquiry to recommend actual restorative justice. Counselling for postmasters and their families. Bursaries for children whose education was wrecked. A permanent memorial. Reputations rebuilt in the small communities where they were destroyed. Volume 1 of the final report landed in July 2025. The rest keeps slipping. Current estimate is September 2026, and even that looks optimistic. A criminal investigation into the Post Office is on hold waiting for it. People keep dying while they wait to be believed. The Post Office spent two decades hoping this would quietly disappear. Sam Stein KC made sure it never got the chance. SOURCES ComputerWeekly Law Society Gazette BBC News (UK) and many others.

POSTMAN SERVED 42 YEARS. THE POST OFFICE SERVED HIM A PRISON SENTENCE Noel Thomas spent 42 years working for the Post Office. He started as a postman on Anglesey in 1965, then ran the Gaerwen branch with his wife Eira for over a decade. He had also served as a Plaid Cymru county councillor since 1986, the kind of man villages build community halls around. In 2006 the Post Office accused him of stealing £48,000. The evidence came from Horizon, a computer system with a talent for inventing crimes nobody committed. On legal advice he pleaded guilty to false accounting to avoid a theft charge and stop his legal bill climbing further. He was jailed for 9 months. The Post Office's opening move was sending him to HMP Liverpool Walton, locked in his cell 23 hours a day. After a week he was moved to HMP Kirkham, where he worked in the prison greenhouses. He was released after 12 weeks for good behaviour, fitted with an electronic tag as a parting gift. While he sat in prison the Post Office made sure he lost his council seat too. A man who had served the community since 1986 was disqualified from Anglesey Council over a shortfall a faulty computer system invented. His pension, earned over 42 years, was gone. The family sold their home to their own son just to keep it out of the Post Office's reach, then moved in with daughter Sian. In 2021 the Court of Appeal quashed his conviction, one of 39 overturned that day after the Post Office admitted it would not contest most of the appeals. Sir Alan Bates, the Craig-y-Don postmaster who built the entire legal fight against the Post Office, had been organising support for people like Thomas since 2009. After ITV dramatised the scandal in Mr Bates vs The Post Office in January 2024, politicians who had said nothing for years suddenly found strong feelings about Noel Thomas. Ynys Môn MP Virginia Crosbie posted online about securing him a meeting with Post Office minister Kevin Hollinrake Kevin Hollinrake MP. Thomas's daughter Sian told her on X to stop, said she had never met her, and called the sudden interest opportunism. Llinos Medi Llinos Medi AS/MP, then the Plaid Cymru candidate for the seat and now its sitting MP, made the same accusation in public. Anglesey Council later held a formal vote of gratitude for Thomas, with Cllr Bob Parry telling colleagues he would never forget the image of him being led into a police van. Last year Bangor University Bangor University gave him an honorary degree for exposing the truth. Weeks later the Gorsedd of the Bards inducted him at the National Eisteddfod. Wales gave him robes and a doctorate. The Post Office gave him a prison number. He is 77 now. 42 years handing out stamps and listening to a village's problems. 9 months in a cell for a crime a computer invented. 15 years spent clearing his name. A doctorate. A seat among the bards. The one thing nobody can give him back is the years he spent proving he never stole a penny. SOURCES: BBC Wales News Nick Wallis North Wales Live ITVWales and many others.

Absolutely, it's incredible to witness the passion and determination of the young generation as they step forward to be a voice for the voiceless. The energy and commitment they bring to standing up for the truth and fighting against the genocide and injustices faced by the Amhara people is truly inspiring. It's clear that this movement is just getting started, and it's heartening to see so many young people ready to speak up and show up for their people every day until justice is served. Their dedication is a testament to the power of unity and the unwavering spirit of those who refuse to accept oppression and injustice. The courage and resolve of these young advocates offer hope for a brighter future, one where accountability and justice prevail. Their commitment serves as a powerful reminder that positive change is possible when individuals come together to stand against tyranny and advocate for the rights and well-being of all people. It's crucial to support and amplify the voices of these young activists, as they represent the promise of a better tomorrow. Together, let's continue to stand in solidarity with those who are fighting for justice and equality, and let's work towards a world where every person can live in peace and dignity. #StopAmharaGenocideinEthiopia ✅ 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐃.𝐂 , 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 Amhara Association of America (AAA) AmharaPopularFront Official Accountየአማራ ሕዝባዊ ግንባር The American-Ethiopian Public Affairs Committee Ethio-American Development Council (EADC) Ethiopian Public Diplomacy Network SF_Oakland Reuters Africa Aljezera Africa News Aljazeera Africa CNN Africa BBC News Africa The Times Of India United Nations United NationsHumanRights Human Rights Watch Amnesty International USA Justin Trudeau António Guterres Secretary Antony Blinken First Lady Melania Trump President Donald J. The Total Solar Eclipse, April 8— Why are People Freaking out About it? Claims, Info, and Biblical Meanings 🔴 CLAIMS • Total communications blackout • They want to cut people off from communicating with each other to lock up or take out top influencers, people that have been the loudest against C19. • An HHS “source” claims they’re planing to release a bioweapon on the public as they gather to watch • A Deer zombie virus will jump to humans 🔴 INFORMATION RELATED OR ASSUMED RELATED • The areas the eclipse itself is supposed to pass over will be plunged into night for at least 10 minutes • WideSpread Cell Phone Disruptions are expected due to an expected 3.7 million people traveling, “causing a strain on local networks” • Colorado Springs hospitals and FBI work on emergency preparedness with bioterrorism exercise • Texas— Disaster Declaration Issued in Several Counties over Solar Eclipse • Ohio has been planning for the Solar Eclipse for 2 Years and Gov Dewin Signed an Executive Order • At least four states within the path of totality have urged residents to stock up on groceries before the eclipse. Texas, Indiana, Ohio, Oklahoma • Countless schools announced they will be closing due to safety concerns • The Department of Transportation in these states plan to treat the event like any other major travel holiday. States are expecting roads to be congested as travelers arrive at viewing locations, but believes the worst issues will come when people leave. 🔴 FINAL THOUGHTS I’m going to cover the Biblical Connections in a different post. Most of the claims I think are garbage, not based on any facts, too inconclusive. Too hyped up. I think there is enough evidence there will be internet or website disruptions, but only temporarily imo… The information available, I can see how people can connect dots on certain things; but most of it seems pretty appropriate to me as far as the actions taken. The FBI Exercise thingy, that may be totally unrelated to the Solar event, but yes, I do think they’re performing dry-runs for something… it is an election year. Stay tuned for the Biblical Post, which is going to be very spicy.🌶️

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: U.S Government Admitting CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY Against American Citizens in The Second Most Important Video You Will EVER See 🚨 A senior DARPA adviser, Dr. James Giordano, publicly stated that non-surgical brain interfaces using nanomaterials and aerosolized agents are not science fiction; they are already viable. He described: - Nano-particulate agents that can be inhaled to disrupt neurological networks... - Techniques to place electrodes and sensors inside the head without surgery... - Neuroscience deliberately leveraged as weapons... This is not a conspiratorial claim. It comes straight from a Georgetown neuroscientist who has advised DARPA and the Pentagon. Public programs exist: - DARPA’s N³ (Next-Generation Nonsurgical Neurotechnology) - Funded teams at Battelle, Carnegie Mellon, Johns Hopkins APL, Rice, PARC, and Teledyne. - Related patents on wireless implants, carbon-nanotube arrays, and external neural interfaces. The research is documented. The dual-use potential is openly discussed by the people building it. Why was this research framed primarily in military and intelligence terms rather than purely medical ones? If non-surgical, bidirectional brain interfaces are achievable, who decides the limits on reading from or writing to the human nervous system? What oversight exists when the same agencies funding the technology also classify large parts of the work? Why do discussions of free will, cognitive liberty, and bodily autonomy almost never appear alongside announcements of these programs? If aerosolized or remotely deliverable neuromodulators are technically feasible, what prevents their use outside declared conflict zones? Who is accountable if these tools move from lab prototypes to operational systems without public consent? Watch the full admission. Then ask yourself the one question almost no one in power wants answered: Once the ability to influence the brain without surgery exists… who gets to hold the remote? Demand the full record. One of my favorite news anchors Palki Sharma sums up perplexing actions of Ethiopian PM Abiy Ahmed in this piece on Vantage detailing his record of war and turmoil since ascension to power a mere 5 years ago. Continuous war and bloodshed Destruction of 3 regions in the north Famine (both man made and related to drought) Forced Displacement and ethnic cleansing Economic Turmoil and rising inflation Sustaining a governance system without checks and balances Corruption and aid embezzlement Poor diplomacy with neighbors Apartheid rule and rise of ethnic hegemony Massive human rights violations ..are just some of the achievements of Abiy Ahmeds government which boasted of bringing systemic change, equal representation and prosperity to the nation. And Palki remarks that Abiy Ahmed forgot the cardinal rule that "war is bad for business" and asks when the appropriate time is to rescind the honorable title of Nobel Price Laureate. #PostOfficeScandal Arise.... Sir Alan Bates🎖️ A Huge Congratulations🙂 There cannot be a more deserving person in the country of this award. For over two decades Alan has led the JFSA (Justice for Sub Postmasters Alliance) in a constant David vs Goliath battle against the Post Office and their shareholder the government. Against all odds as both the Post Office and the Department for Business threw everything at the High Court GLO (as well as over £100m over taxpayer cash) and then attempting to recuse Justice Fraser for apparent bias, two landmark Judgements were handed down. These are known as the Common Issues Judgement and the Horizon Issues Judgement. Emma Simpson reporting for BBC News (UK) wrote :- Bates learned of knighthood at Post Office inquiry‼️ The campaigner and former sub-postmaster, Alan Bates, was at the public inquiry into the Post Office scandal when he received the news that he was to be knighted in the King's Birthday Honours. He had travelled from his home in Llandudno to hear former Post Office CEO Paula Vennells give evidence, breaking her near-decade long silence. “It was all a bit of a surprise,” Sir Alan, as he is now known, told the BBC. He was told that he had to let the Honours Committee know by the end of the day whether he would accept. For the last 15 years, Sir Alan has campaigned for justice for hundreds of sub-postmasters who were wrongfully prosecuted for theft and false accounting, when faulty software called Horizon made it look like money was missing from their accounts. He had already rejected the offer of an OBE last year, telling the Honours Committee that it would be inappropriate to accept it whilst Ms Vennells kept hold of her CBE for services to the Post Office and many victims continued to suffer. Ms Vennells handed back her CBE earlier this year amid mounting pressure in the aftermath of the ITV drama in January which sparked national outrage over the scandal. “I went and had a confidential talk with somebody who knows what’s gone on over the years and they said to me, 'well you’ve done the heavy lifting, others are doing the rest now.' And on reflection, I knew so many people who were keen for me to actually receive something, I felt I would be insulting them as much as anyone else if I refused it at this time," Sir Alan said. He insisted the honour was not just for him but also for his group, the Justice for Sub-Postmasters Alliance, which he started in 2009. “I think it’s another string to my bow to try and drive the rest of the campaign home. We have got to get funding for everybody. And that’s been my priority now for some time. And if it helps there, then great. It’s wonderful.” Sir Alan said his work was far from finished, adding that he would pursue court action, if necessary, to get financial redress for the victims who took part in the original High Court action that helped expose the Horizon IT scandal. “I think the nation will support us if we have to go ahead with another case,” he said. The former sub-postmaster's dogged pursuit of the truth began after refusing to accept losses at his own post office which he took over in 1998. Had he ever thought about giving up and letting it go? “I could never do that. We’ve all seen the horror stories, and there are so many. I keep hearing from so many more these days who are coming out of the woodwork and stories that have never been told. I mean, they’re absolutely diabolical. What’s happened to people is very sad but at least they’re now starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel for themselves.” He described his work as the best unpaid job he’d ever had and said he was looking forward to having a holiday this summer. 🆘RECEIPTS ATTACHED: DEBUNKING Blake Neff's Debate LIES—The Real Reason Candace Owens Didn't Fly to Phoenix 🧾✈️ Hey Blake, the "sincere" offer you’re bragging about was a hostage situation, not a debate. Let’s look at what actually happened before you try to lecture anyone on "credibility." You issued a demand for a response within 24 hours. That isn't how professional journalism or safety works. Candace has a family and a team. Demanding someone fly to Phoenix on a whim without a finalized date is a PR stunt, not an invitation. Candace Owens couldn't attend in person that specific Monday because it was her husband’s birthday—a day involving people flying in from overseas. Her husband, who manages the household and her security, shut it down immediately. Unlike Erika’s "security theater" in Athens, Candace’s concerns were based on actual, documented coordination. Your original quote, Blake: "There will be a live stream here in Phoenix... we would sincerely welcome her participation in that live stream." * You never explicitly stated it had to be in-person until after she offered to appear via stream. Why rescind a "sincere" offer just because the guest prefers a digital link? Unless, of course, the goal was to ensure she couldn't make it. Despite an actual, credible assassination plot against her (not a manufactured "bad ticket sales" threat), Candace still tried to reschedule. Your team’s response? You acted like "little girls," told her to pound sand, and closed the door on the meeting rescinding the offer. Candace made it clear that she was still game and wanted to make it work if you gave her an alternat4e date. She even joked she might be willing to "beg" the "Supreme Court of George Farmer" to make it work IF you confirmed Erika Kirk was actually going to be there to answer every question under the sun face-to-face. Stop pretending you’re smarter than the public, Blake. I told you not to make me pull the clips and you should of just deleted your post and heeded that advice little guy. The PR machine at Turning Point is trying to rewrite history again, but I brought the receipts. Blake Neff just took to X to gaslight the public about why the Candace Owens vs. Erika Kirk debate hasn't happened, but his post is a total fabrication.

Today I sit down with Rex Glendenning, founder of REX Real Estate and the man known across North Texas as the "King of Dirt." Rex is a fourth-generation Celina native whose great-grandfather homesteaded 160 acres in 1887. Over the last four decades he's brokered billions in DFW land deals - including the $130M public-private partnership that brought the Cowboys to Frisco - while quietly running a 4-broker shop out of his hometown. We unpack his patience-and-dirt playbook, why he believes DFW is becoming the financial epicenter of America, and how he reads a real estate cycle years ahead of the rest of the industry. We discuss: - How Rex originated the Star deal in 60 days - and why Frisco won the Cowboys instead of Irving - His foundational theory: why every American city grows north (with one exception) - 40 years of plowing every dollar back into dirt - and the year his wife sat him down - Why he believes DFW becomes "Y'all Street" - the next Wall Street - Why he never scaled past three brokers - "three killers beat fifty wannabes" - His read on where we are in the cycle - and why 2028 is the recovery I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did. 🚨 HUNTER BIDEN’S HOLLYWOOD SUGAR DADDY KEVIN MORRIS HUMILIATED IN COURT: FORCED TO PAY $50K TO GARRETT ZIEGLER (MARCO POLO) AFTER FRIVOLOUS SLAPP SUIT OVER AUTHENTIC BIDEN LAPTOP CRUMBLES! 💻☠️👿💊💉 In the august arena of California jurisprudence—where anti-SLAPP statutes (Code Civ. Proc. § 425.16) were forged precisely to shield robust public discourse on matters of presidential accountability from the chilling hand of vexatious litigation—a rare and exquisite reversal has unfolded. Kevin Morris, the Beverly Hills entertainment lawyer and self-described benefactor who funneled millions into Hunter Biden’s orbit amid the laptop controversy, launched a multi-count suit against Garrett Ziegler and Marco Polo. At its core: an unproven 2022 allegation that Ziegler impersonated a Democratic operative to elicit sensitive details about the now-infamous Biden laptop files—the very archive forensically authenticated by multiple independent examiners and later central to congressional oversight. The claims? They evaporated under evidentiary scrutiny. No link. No proof. Just Morris’s own incendiary texts boasting he would “take all your money,” “know where you live,” and other locker-room bravado that courts rightly viewed as the aggressor’s own words, not the victim’s. Following the California Court of Appeals’ surgical pruning of the complaint (affirmed in substantial part, with the civil harassment claim definitively excised) and the California Supreme Court’s denial of review (S293105), the Superior Court of Los Angeles has now ordered Morris to remit $50,000 toward Ziegler/Marco Polo’s legal defense costs. A partial victory, yes—but a principled one that underscores a deeper truth: lawfare deployed to muzzle truth-tellers on issues of public import ultimately subsidizes the very transparency it seeks to suppress. Ziegler’s Marco Polo database endures as a meticulous public service, not a crime. The First Amendment does not bend to Hollywood wallets or political dynasties. This is rule-of-law poetry: the powerful, having weaponized the courts, now foot the bill for their overreach. The laptop was real. The questions it raised remain urgent. And now, the invoice has arrived. Full judgment PDF (post-CA Supreme denial): Court of Appeal decision: Here are the primary links to Garrett Ziegler's Marco Polo database and related Biden laptop archives: Main Hub & Report Marco Polo Substack (current home for the organization, reports, and updates): This is the active platform where they publish investigations, including extensive Biden-related material. Full "Report on the Biden Laptop" (the 600+ page dossier detailing alleged crimes, with links to source material): (Includes a downloadable high-res PDF.) Marco Polo's work includes searchable archives of ~128,000 emails, thousands of photos, texts, and other files from the laptop (forensically authenticated by independent experts). Much of the raw database material is embedded or linked within the main report and Substack posts for public/OSINT access. Note: Due to legal controversies and platform policies, some direct raw file hosts have shifted over time— the Substack and report serve as the centralized, maintained access points. Woman files lawsuit after arrest for Facebook post concerning Trinidad water supply issues ... TRINIDAD, Texas - A Facebook post about problems with the City of Trinidad's water quality led to the arrest of a woman who now says she's filed a lawsuit against the city after calling the arrest "political retaliation." Police in the City of Trinidad, located in Henderson County around an hour south-east of Dallas, charged Jennifer Combs on May 8 with felony false alarm or report. Her arrest stems from a Facebook post she made on her ‘Southern Belle Watch' account, where she claimed that the city's water issues had led to hospitalizations due to bacteria. The post, in part, reads: "We have received reports that some citizens have been hospitalized due to bacteria in the water. This is a serious public health concern that deserves immediate attention. If your water looks discolored, contains sediment, has a strong odor, or you have experienced related health issues, please send us a message. We are gathering information and reporting findings to the state." The Trinidad Police Department, in an April 6 Facebook post of their own, said Combs wrote "false information that creates fear, panic, or unnecessary emergency response within a community." A May 10 post from Trinidad Police Chief Charles Gregory doubled down on the decision to arrest Combs. Gregory claimed the case was "cut and dry," and Combs' claims about hospitalizations "are simply false and have only caused unnecessary fear and confusion in our community." "It was probably one of the most humiliating things I’ve ever gone through in my entire life. It was very, very bad." Combs, who tells FOX 4's David Sentendrey she's never received a speeding ticket, calls the ordeal of spending the night in jail "horrifying." "I feel like this is an extreme stretch," Combs said of her arrest. "There’s people that are saying that their appliances are getting ruined, they can’t cook with the water, they can’t bathe with it, they can’t do laundry," she continued. "A lot of them feel hushed, and like they don’t have a voice and no one listens to them and no one takes them seriously." Combs says multiple citizens had posted to Trinidad PD's Facebook page stating they were hospitalized or affected by consuming the city's water. Images provided to FOX 4 show brown water coming from faucets in sinks and bathtubs within the community. Combs described the city's water supply as looking like "the Trinity River is flowing from their water taps." A water boil had previously been issued for Trinidad on Apr. 21, several weeks after both Combs' post and the Trinidad Police Department's post. The boil was lifted on Apr. 23. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) confirmed to FOX 4 it received a complaint regarding the water quality in Trinidad, and that an investigation is ongoing. Trinidad officials did not deny that the city is struggling with its water supply. Dennis Haws, the Mayor of Trinidad, told Sentendrey on Tuesday that the city's water pipes date back to the 1950s. "We have to get to a position where we can fix that infrastructure, and it’s very expensive as I’m sure you can imagine," Haws said. "The city’s water situation is a struggle, without question." Haws would not confirm if anyone had gotten sick from drinking the city's water, but says there have been discussions on creating a committee to focus on the water issues. At a Trinidad City Council meeting on Tuesday, the city's water issues were a hot button topic. "The reason why everyone is here and the reason why FOX 4 is here, is because your city is acting like tyrants," one resident said. Police Chief Gregory was not present at Tuesday's meeting. "I really haven’t seen anything like this before." Dale Carpenter, a constitutional law professor at SMU, questions whether a crime was committed by Combs, and believes her First Amendment rights may have been violated. "She’s making a statement regarding a matter of great public interest and so people sometimes make false statements on matters of great public interest, and they’re allowed to do so." Combs has since filed a federal lawsuit against the City of Trinidad, which includes Chief Gregory, another member of the Trinidad Police Department and a Trinidad City Council member. The lawsuit states that Combs was arrested in "an act of deliberate political retaliation." CJ Grisham, the attorney representing Combs in the case, provided the following statement to FOX 4: "The City of Trinidad has become a cautionary tale of what happens when unchecked ego masquerades as governance. At the center of this ongoing constitutional crisis is the case of Jennifer Combs, whose unlawful treatment by city officials exposed a pattern of corruption, retaliation, and abuse of power that has infected the entire municipal apparatus. Rather than course-correct, city leadership has chosen to double down on its misconduct by engaging in an escalating campaign of retaliatory firings, punishing employees whose only offense was bearing witness to the truth or refusing to participate in the cover-up. The bitter irony is that the only individuals in this saga who have earned termination are Police Chief Gregory and City Councilwoman Marie Bannister, whose reckless abuse of authority and personal vendettas are not merely destroying careers: they are dismantling the institutional trust, public safety infrastructure, and financial stability of an entire community. Trinidad deserves leaders who serve its people, not officials who sacrifice them on the altar of wounded pride."

This is probably the most entertaining way to understand one of AI’s hardest AI debates. Transformer vs Post-Transformer, argued by leading researchers, inside a real physical boxing ring. Both technically deep and genuinely entertaining. I was glued for the entire 1 hour 20 minutes. So many super cool points to learn. 🥊 Transformers - Transformers still own the present because they work at scale. They are simple, trainable, hardware-friendly, and already power the strongest AI systems we use today. - The Transformer is basically a memory machine. It stores information as keys and values, then uses attention to pull back the most useful parts when answering. - The real Transformer advantage is not just “attention.” The bigger advantage is that it fits modern hardware extremely well, so it can process huge batches of tokens fast. - Scaling is still the brutal rule. If you give Transformers more compute, more data, and more parameters, they usually keep getting better. Any Post-Transformer architecture has to scale just as well, or better. - It is not enough to look clever on small tests, because the real question is whether it improves faster than Transformers when scaled up. - A replacement cannot be slightly better. Because the whole AI stack is already built around Transformers, the next architecture may need to be around 10x better to force everyone to switch. - Transformers are powerful, but they may be brute force. A human does not need to read the entire internet many times to become smart, but current LLMs need enormous data and compute. 🥊 Post-Transformer - Post-Transformer people are not saying Transformers are bad. They are saying Transformers may be the best current tool, not the final form of machine intelligence. - The biggest Post-Transformer target is native reasoning and continual learning. Today’s LLM reasoning often feels like text-based step-by-step work added on top, instead of thinking happening naturally inside the model. - Latent reasoning is one possible next step. That means the model reasons inside its own hidden internal space, instead of writing every thought out as words. - Continual learning is still a major weakness. Humans keep learning from experience, but most Transformer-based models are trained, frozen, and then only adapt inside the prompt. - Long context is not the same as real memory. A model can read a huge prompt, but that is different from building a life history, learning from mistakes, and updating beliefs over time. - The future may be hybrid, not a clean replacement. Transformers may stay as 1 building block while newer systems add better memory, better reasoning, and better learning loops. - The most interesting possibility is that Transformers may help discover their own successor. AI agents are already getting better at research and coding, so the next architecture may come from AI-assisted architecture search. ------- - Benchmarks are a problem. Many public benchmarks are easy to game, so they may show leaderboard strength without proving deeper intelligence. - Perplexity is still probably a great metric to evaluate frontier models,, because it tests prediction quality. --- Overall, Transformers continue to dominate, but the frontier is clearly widening. Pathway’s BDH (Dragon Hatchling — brain-inspired reasoning architecture), Sakana AI’s CTMs (Continuous Thought Machines — models that think over time), and Liquid AI’s LFMs (Liquid Foundation Models — efficient multimodal foundation models) - all of these show how the frontier is expanding. --- From “Pathway (pathway[.]com)” Youtube channel (link in comment) Zuzanna Stamirowska

Although this post has been public for a few days, a Psicoactivo Podcast subscriber brought this video to my attention a few days ago, and I managed to obtain a translation with voice dubbing. Here is what Dennis Asberg said about Beatriz Villarroel's work. It is not related to the Baltic Sea anomaly; it's directly linked to the doctor's Astronomy work and recent findings. I will do a full video about the possibilities of what this could be in my next episode. But for now, there is the translation of what was said. If there are mistakes in the translation, please let me know so I can correct them on the video. Transcript facilitated by Basil McKinley: "Hey everyone, don't go away now, don't leave. Don't swipe away from me. This is important, I have to say—I came home a little while ago after being at work at Stockholm University. I've been working with Beatrice, the astronomer, as you know. We work on that thing with BTC through this in the Baltic Sea, but Beatrice and I also work on finding life and intelligence out in space, especially near Earth. "When I got to work today... I mean, this new computer is completely insane. I can't tell you everything right now—I can't do that for certain reasons, because this has to be presented in a scientific way, as it is in that world—but I can say this: I've never been as shocked as I was at work today. Both Beatrice and I feel a bit sick to our stomachs now. I can tell you that we now know things that very, very, very few people on Earth know. And we’ve said… Beatrice and a few others have this scientific data to share, but what’s going to happen now is that they’re working on it right now to present it internationally later on. "I’m doing this because I could, but I feel like… why not? I have words now. And now it’s happened: in a scientific way, it’s been calculated, analyzed, and checked back and forth constantly. And apparently, things are happening around us. And as I said a little while ago, I understand why this information shouldn’t come out to humanity—it’s absolutely unbelievable. And now… now I know what it’s about, and I wish I could tell you everything right now. I can’t. I’m not allowed to. But I actually asked Beatrice—I mentioned this. She gave me approval to say this much: I can’t mention what it’s actually about, other than that it’s a new scientific discovery that’s been made, one that will shake things up properly. And I’m not joking—this is no bullshit. So be curious to know. "As I said, Beatrice and I, astronomers at the university… This is something completely new, though they’ve been working on it for a while. But it’s new data, new information, so incredible that you can hardly believe it’s true. I—I’ve looked at the data and realized it’s real, but I can’t quite grasp it. Part of me can’t believe it’s been this way, maybe for a very, very long time. And this has nothing to do with the Baltic Sea object—nothing at all. This is probably something entirely different. "So I know what it’s about, and I’m obviously not scared, but still… damn cautious now. That’s why I feel like… maybe it’s good to share something. But the true purpose of the whole thing… we’ll take that later. As I said, now you know a little. But more will come—I promise, more will come. Beatrice will explain it herself in her own words. It’ll take a little time; we have to process it ourselves because it’s… so overwhelming. It’s completely insane—it’s hard to process this. And now it’s just… thinking: 'Okay, what? Wow. Wow. Now I understand…' "I work and… but now you know a little, at least. You’ll have to use your imagination—I can’t go into details. Thanks for listening. "End. Dennis. Bye."
