The entire experience is supposed to be about academic development but nearly every school in America develops an anti-reading culture. to the point in which the majority of public school students don’t ever actually read books. I teach high school. Kids don't know what individuality means anymore. They interpret it as selfishness. The catch phrase is "identity" which encourages cliques and group conformity. I think creating "passionate or not passionate about this subject" classes may advance learning.

💯 Am a teacher. It's pathetic. They complain about reading 5 paragraphs and can't write one. Good luck disciplining any of them. Their parents think it's funny when they get in trouble. "My angel would never" Fuck it. Put body cams on us too.

Did you just use AI to make yourself look like a woman? Lol.

This comment may be do a double take. I have been accused of a lot of things on the Internet, being a fed, a Freemason, illuminati, a reptilian, but this is a new one. Funny thing, I do see the resemblance, but she is in fact a real person. Sorry to disappoint.

DRATS!

I know why. It’s all the stupid testing to detect “reading comprehension”. It’s annoying and irrelevant and the stupid questions make reading a chore. More reading, more discussing, less testing. Stop the stupid testing.

The AI says a stay at home should get the cost of one year in public school which is 20,042 per kid . 4 kids 80k. @grok is this close?

Controlling the masses can only be achieved by dumbing down the population and creating chaos and division through fear mongering. Transgender/toxic masculinity .... who needs real men to fight back right?

Where's the original video?

I would take it a step further. It’s not merely conformity, it’s closer to uniformity. The government schools produce brainwashed pawns to be used for their purposes.

Not to be racist. But a joke is told; sooo, if you want to hide something from an ignorant person, put it in a book. Exclude the race or color part.

THEY ARE SOCIALIST CAMPS FILL WITH SYNTHETIC HISTORY TO FEED TO MACHINE 🔥

It’s because after the country was flooded with illegal aliens their children were allowed to go to public schools

There are outliers; my students read every day. I read to them, and they ask when we can read again and what we are reading next. They read together and individually. I have around 4,000 books in my classroom library. I make books available, fun, and I set expectations.

It’s always been about conformity Where did the idea that the opinion of humans is greater that the opinion of God. If you’re living up to the expectations of the lord and being the best human possible, learning becomes an adventure and not a competition or an end to means

This is a lie. you just want to promote your antisocial dumbdowned homeschool racket.

Desegregation wasn't done to help any black children. It was done to destroy the white education system and dumb down america. Divide and conquer. Easier to rule over a dumbed down proletariat

Correct.

Mostly it's an exercise in "white people refuse to make black kids behave like humans beings" which wastes everyone time and we just milled around until time to go home. But I'm old now, I'm sure it's thousands of times worse.

Proud to say, not my kids school! Reading is top priority starting in Kindergarten.

The company I work for has hired a couple 18 year male high school graduates lately and they’re not stupid but they’re horrible at math and spelling. They have the hand writing of a 3rd grader. Can’t write or read cursive. Can’t read a clock and couldn’t use a stapler.

Best way to develop an “academic” mind is to read! Critical thinking becomes a habit!

Because the schools don’t teach

We see a lot of kids who avoid books because every page is still hard work. Ask what your kid was taught in reading this week. A sound or a spelling pattern is a good answer. A book title alone is a flag.
