I taught this robot duck to backflip trained entirely on my MacBook. Today I'm open-sourcing the lab behind it. In this video I teach it a brand-new trick, a headstand, from scratch live in the browser, just by asking for it. No GPU. No cloud. Repo below 👇

Newton’s Cradle - An AI Film by Jeff Synthesized. Volume up. This is our first time working on a new pipeline in preparation for our mind bending ‘Blurred Horizon’ anthology series. Music by movie composer/recording artist, photek Sound design by award-winning studio, #Makewavesaudio’. 4K YouTube link here: Narrative voice via Artlist.io, News Reporter vibx, All other voices are V2V in Powered by (in order of amount) MiniMax Design (H3), Kling AI and of course some of my special source. Performance capture by Runway ’s Act-One’. Edited and color graded in ‘DaVinci Resolve’. Composited with ‘After Effects’. This was all born out of me from me playing with a —sref that I discovered via Nolan Michaels . Check out his YT. In this film, the ‘Newton’s Cradle’ isn’t just a symbolic object—it represents the fragile balance between control and freedom in a world where time itself is being manipulated. The oscillation of the cradle reflects the constant push and pull of power in this dystopian society. By the end of the film, we discover that this seemingly innocuous object holds the potential to disrupt the system, offering a glimmer of hope that time can be reset and balance restored. A non-profanity version for screenings is available on request.

Yesterday, alongside my fellow nominees to the ncc.gov.ng Board, I was screened by the Senate Committee on Communications, chaired by Senator Ikra Bilbis. I thank the Almighty Allah for guidance and grace. I am grateful to the Senators and House of Representative members for a rigorous session and to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the trust and responsibility. The Committee made its expectations clear. Nigerians deserve quality service and universal coverage. We understand the assignment and, upon confirmation and resumption, we are committed to delivering to the best of our collective abilities. So help us God. My heartfelt thanks to Distinguished Senator Tokunbo Abiru for his kind attestations to my character and competence. Special appreciation to my wife, children, parents, sisters, brothers, and dear friends who attended the screening with me, and to all who came from far and wide in solidarity. I also appreciate Mr. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Honourable Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, for being on hand to offer their very warm congratulations. Our focus is clear. Deepen broadband. Expand inclusion. Protect consumers. Strengthen competition. Improve quality of service. I look forward to working with the Executive Vice Chairman, Dr. Aminu Maida Dr. Aminu Maida, my fellow Board members, the Commissioners, and the management and staff of the Commission to crowd in investment that powers jobs and growth, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda. Thank you for the support. Onward.

Post Malone says he smokes 40 to 45 cigarettes a day and smoked as many as 80 in one day Q: “How many darts do you rip a day on average?” Post: “Forty, forty-five. By the time I ask for that second pack, I’m like, ‘All right, dude, chill out.’ But then, by the time I open that third pack, I’m like, I’m a total piece of shit, and I need to go to sleep” Q: “What do you think is the most darts you’ve ever ripped in a day?” Post: “Probably like 80” Q: “You smoke them in bed?” Post: “I used to, but not really anymore. I now have a special zone. It has my PC in it and my Magic: The Gathering shit. So I just go down there and rip cigs, build decks and die in Apex Legends” Q: “Are you ever worried about fucking up your voice?” Post: “Yeah, it definitely has. But, I mean, Johnny Cash smoked his whole life. He sounded cool”

[ENG TRANS] 240629 Krist’s TikTok live - The ‘issue’ part Since there’ve been many versions of the translation, I also want to do my version. Before watching, I would like you to take one long deep breath, and be open-minded. - He specifically mentioned that he only saw the tweet that mentioned him. So if you were not the one who did that, his reprimand ‘on that part’ wasn’t directly for you. - He specifically mentioned about that sentence “Will there be fans left to watch Ex-Morning”. So if you didn't say that, his reprimand ‘on that part’ wasn’t directly for you. - There was the part where he said “I’ve also said a lot to them*”: this ‘them’ by the context I believe he meant the fan he replied before he went on the TikTok live. But interpret it at your discretion. That’s all. I love you #ทีมพีรญา

Not so fast, bro! You ask: “Where in the past regimes would you find such democratic practices?” I’ll give you the 1980 elections that got the NRA running to the bush crying foul. The candidates occasionally campaigned together. No arrests. The DP candidate, Paul Kawanga Ssemogerere stood on the same stand with the alleged butcher Rwakasisi and both made cogent arguments for their sides. No threats. No intimidation. No arrests. He gave the then government credit for ensuring the environment was open and free of intimidation (please see from the 2:08 point of attached video) The commission (council) that oversaw the election was the most independent we’ve ever had. It was agreed to by ALL candidates, including our current President. Sounds like fiction? Please don’t believe my words for it. Here’s a video. 👇🏾 I can also give you lots more videos and reading materials. The political environment these days is a lot more closed to dissent than it has ever been in Uganda, outside Idi Amin’s Presidency. The only regime this government can claim to be more democratic than is the Idi Amin regime but that’s because they made no pretense of ruling by the constitution. They suspended most of it and only applied sections that served them. Sounds familiar?

𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗳𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 I have noted the concerns raised regarding my comments on security and healthcare in Parliament during the inauguration of the 9th Parliamentary Service Board. Unfortunately, much of the media coverage on my comments has been misleading, creating gross misconceptions about my position. The discussion was centered on broader institutional needs, yet selective reporting has misrepresented the intent behind my remarks. For clarity, my remarks were in response to issues first raised by The Speaker, and were only re-echoing the vision of The Speaker for Parliament. The Speaker bemoaned the state of insecurity in Parliament, highlighting the vulnerability of MPs and Parliamentary Service staff to potential threats. In response, I suggested that if enhancing security within the current chamber is not feasible, we may have to consider a new chamber with the necessary security features to ensure a safer working environment. On healthcare, the Speaker also raised concerns about medical care for MPs and Parliamentary Service staff. While Parliament currently has a clinic, I suggested that it could be upgraded into a Parliamentary Hospital—similar to the 37 Military Hospital, Police Hospital, Bank of Ghana Hospital, Cocoa Clinic and SSNIT Hospital. Such a facility would not only serve MPs and Parliamentary staff but also retired officers, retired MPs, and, where applicable, the general public. Although these hospitals by some State Agencies are dedicated to their staff, they are equally open to the general public. Parliament, as an arm of Government, operates under intense schedules, and its members, staff, and security personnel often require urgent, specialised and private medical attention while on duty. Establishing a well-equipped medical facility within Parliament is a standard practice in many democratic nations, ensuring that those who serve the country can access prompt, confidential, and cost-effective healthcare when needed. I also raised the issue of confidentiality—where, oftentimes, Parliamentary Service staff, former MPs, and current MPs are unable to patronise other public health facilities due to the confidential and sensitive nature of their health concerns. This proposal should, therefore, not be misinterpreted as a call for special privileges, but rather as a functional necessity, just as other critical institutions—such as the military, police SSNIT, COCOBOD and Bank of Ghana—have their own dedicated medical facilities. That said, I welcome further engagements on the matter.

Custom Agents become generally available today. What we learned in the alpha: - Over a million custom agents went live! The use cases are SO broad. Seeing what people do with them is easily my favorite part of the job. - Agents are not just for engineers! People from every function are now building their own factories. (watch this space at Developer day next week!) - The combination of custom agents with Notion Workers is basically magic! What you can automate is now limited by your own imagination. - Control matters! Context, permissions, and cost came up a lot, and we shipped major improvements within the alpha. - On cost, people love the ability to experiment with different models, and swap out more expensive models with open-weight ones, where it makes sense. - Usage-based pricing is new for Notion, but becoming the standard for AI. It fits the idea of intelligence as a service. Really grateful for all the feedback. It directly shaped what we shipped. Keep it coming, my DMs are open.
