I’m grateful for the gift of curiosity; the freedom to not give two hoots about looking dumb when learning or building something new. I put in the hours. I do the research. I seek out lessons from the very best. From my parents helping me memorize as a kid, to learning speech from my primary school teachers, to musical instruments in high school, and now, understanding national politics under the mentorship of the institution that is Raila Odinga. If you’re young and want to be great at something, show up every day. And don’t be afraid to look silly for trying. That’s where the growth is. Join the ODM youth league today and let’s grow together.

Straight from the mouth of the citizens. "I hate that man Brandon Johnson" . A well-known and respected community member, and co-owner of the popular Chemistry restaurant, was tragically killed along with another individual. In addition, seven people were shot in this senseless act of violence. I went to the scene of the mass shooting on 51st and Wood to speak directly with the citizens and hear their concerns. The community was eager to talk, and it was meaningful to show them that someone cares. I wanted them to know that I’m committed to listening and taking action to provide the resources our neighborhoods need to thrive. By addressing violence and supporting our communities, we can help restore safety and opportunity in Chicago. Puerto Vallarta has a way of turning complete strangers into unforgettable memories, and that's why people keep coming back. I also have to give a huge shoutout to Tryst Puerto Vallarta for making this trip even more unforgettable. Almost everyone staying there was gay, mostly men, and that completely changes your holiday. Not even to mention how beautiful the hotel and its location were. It had one of the most amazing sunsets I've ever seen in my life, right from my room or from the rooftop pool. To every single member of the Tryst team, thank you for making me feel so welcome. I don't recommend it 100%.
