Pulling over on the shoulder is for emergencies only. Not so you can take your 1/2 hour break. What's your thoughts?

Ok let's pretend the trucker had an emergency would that have made the Subaru driver miss the big ass semi parked on the side of the road? I agree he shouldn't take his break on the shoulder but to put the blame on him is absurd.

I think a Truck is fine to pull over for almost any reason. Whether it is for sleep, to engage in a text conversation, to eat, or to go to the bathroom, it is less of a risk to other drivers to pull over, then to engage in distracted driving of any kind.

The crypto journey isn’t for the faint-hearted. Hundreds of red days. Dozens of boring days. A handful of euphoric days. But those who stay patient see the 20x–50x returns everyone dreams of. Survival is simple...do nothing. Let time do the heavy lifting. How do you keep calm during the slow days?

Why was the suv driving on the shoulder of the road? How can you miss a semi trailer, even if the semi didnt have brake lights or hazards on? IMHO, the suv driver wasn't paying attention or was suicidal.

First question; was the truck driver wearing sandals and spoke with a distinct 7/11 accent?

Why was the SUV on the far right shoulder doing 70+MPH? Looks like even without the truck the SUV was in a world of hurt. Likely asleep, IMO.

Why was the SUV going 70mph on the shoulder? Living along the I-5 my entire life, trucks on the shoulder are common! When any vehicle is on the shoulder, law in my state is to merge left or reduce speed while passing it. 70mph on the shoulder is asinine.

Depends on why he was stopped. But also why did the car run into a trailer on the shoulder?

It’s not the truck driver’s fault that the driver of the SUV wasn’t paying attention to the road. If the driver couldn’t control the car at speed that person was driving then it should’ve driven at a slower speed or not be on the expressway.

When you’re driving and you get tired and you need a break it’s better to pull over and take a break than to run over and regret that you kept driving Rest areas are completely full most of the time after 8 PM and they stay full until 8 AM most people get tired during these times and need a place to pull over I pull a 40 foot fifth wheel with a crew cab Dooley sometimes it’s hard to find a place to park for the night and sometimes you’re too tired to make it to a fuel stop to take a break in their parking lot if they allow it Sometimes the side of the road is the only option
