Initially the trooper was just going to give her a citation, but then he learned that Hackett had been pulled over just days prior and let go with a verbal warning for similar infractions. Deciding that leniency was no longer an option, the trooper informed her she was under arrest. As Arellano reached for her wrist to handcuff her, she began turning around, questioning why she was being arrested, and pulling her arms away. Claiming she was actively resisting, officer Arellano took her down to the asphalt. According to his report, once she was on the ground, she refused repeated commands to roll over onto her stomach. To gain compliance, the trooper delivered a closed-fist strike directly to the left side of her face. 🚨BREAKING: In Danbury, Connecticut, multiple ICE agents have a man pinned to the ground… and instead of handcuffing him… they stepped on him, beat him, and then TASED him… causing him to have a SEIZURE. In the video, the man is pulled from a car and is face down on the pavement, with his feet still inside the vehicle. There are MULTIPLE agents on top of him. He does not appear to be actively fighting back, punching, kicking at the agents, attacking anyone, or trying to flee. He is simply lying on the ground. One agent is seen stepping on the man, with his full weight, and repeatedly bouncing on him, before appearing to kick him in the face. Then, while an agent is kneeling on the man’s back, he pulls out his taser and points it at him… as another agent walks around the car, with a second taser, and tases him. The agents pull the man’s arms behind his back and handcuff him… as the man has a seizure. And let’s be clear about what happened… Refusing to put your hands behind your back is NOT the same thing as actively fighting law enforcement. And ICE’s own use-of-force policy specifically categorizes electronic control weapons, like tasers, as a higher level of force than basic physical control techniques. Its policy says intermediate force may be used only when there is no reasonably effective, safe, feasible alternative available. And a taser is NOT supposed to be used as a punishment for someone who isn’t complying with an order. The purpose of force is to gain control of a situation… not to punish someone for refusing to comply. So, when MULTIPLE agents already have a man physically surrounded and pinned down, and he isn’t actively attacking them, or attempting to escape… Why was an ELECTRICAL WEAPON necessary? Being difficult to handcuff does not give federal agents permission to use whatever force they want. Especially when that force can cause seizures and other serious medical complications. Which is why accountability matters. Because when armed, masked federal agents believe there will be no consequences for using excessive force, there is nothing stopping the next encounter from becoming even worse. The Constitution doesn’t disappear because someone is being detained by ICE. ICE agents are not above the law.

#EastEnders WHAT A DUFF DUFF! 😢💔😭✨ THE JULIA'S THEME!!!!! 😭😭😭💔💔💔 Devastatingly powerful scenes at the end of tonight's episode as Zoe's corpse is taken out of the Vic whilst the Albert Square residents watch in complete bemusement as Zoe's death begins to send shockwaves through the Square. 💔😢 Haunting moments when the Julia's theme started to play as Alfie attempts to hold his family together whilst he props up a completely broken and devastated Kat. Kat in complete denial at this point that is so raw and so real as she struggles to come to terms with the fact that her daughter has gone and forgets to say goodbye to her. 💔😢 Jessie Wallace gives some of best performances to date in today's episode as Kat remains completly at a loss over Zoe's tragic death. The Walford residents watching in complete shock as Zoe's body is taken away - this must've stirred up so many bad memories for Sharon especially following Denny's death - regardless of Sharon's feelings towards Zoe before she died - no mother ever deserves to lose a child that they hold so dear to them and Sharon knows that better then anyone. I hope Sharon and Kat can be united through their shared grief in the wake of Zoe's death 💔😢 I hope this also leads to Yolande and Patrick making amends with Jasmine - the thought of her having no one other then her family to lean onto must be devastating and it's heartbreaking moments like this one which help to bring people together at times of crisis and I think Jasmine needs the Fox/Truemans more then ever right now. It's the perfect time to integrate Jasmine within the Fox/Trueman/Slater fold and make her into a more rounded character. I've always thought her scenes outside the Slaters were stronger but I think tonight proved to be the opposite as she really stood out within the dynamic today. Jasmine shows potential to be a strong long term character and I hope the show continues to establish her with better writing and direction - Jasmine has potential beyond Zoe's death imo. The moment when the camera focused on Suki and Eve was also heartbreaking - Eve remaining strong attempting to put on a brave face as Suki looks away seeking comfort in Eve's arms. What makes this final scene even more powerful and incredibly significant is how Zoe's death impacts the whole Walford community in completely different ways. The way Zoe felt that she was so isolated feeling so alone with only Kat fighting her corner but in the end the whole Square cared about her even if they didn't share a scene with her. Zoe's death has ripped a hole in the fabric of the Albert Square community and Walford won't feel the same without her. 💔😢 As sad as I am with the way Zoe was killed off considering she's such a huge legacy character - Tonight's episode was heartbreaking and felt like the perfect send off for such a significant character who created one of the most ICONIC moments in Albert Square history. After Martin's death last year - this death feels even more devastating and I think killing off Zoe Slater when she still had so much potential with 20 years of history to explore was such a huge mistake. 💔😢 A huge congratulations to everyone involved in tonight's gut punching episode. The show is so good at portraying these kind of eps focusing solely on one storyline. Jessie Wallace, Sonny Kendell, Gillian Wright, Shane Richie and Indeyarna Donaldson Holness were absolutely spine tingling today 😱💔😢 This week is going to be such a difficult and emotional week ahead for not only the Slater family but Albert Square as a whole as they come to terms with Zoe's death. The rest of this week is going to be such an emotional watch. I'm glad that Zoe got the much deserved Julia's theme in tonight's episode. The perfect end for a much loved character. ✨❤️🥺
