I live and work in Pune. I had an unfortunate incident where I was attacked by a few goons on my way home from the office. I was returning from the office in, Kharadi, Pune around 8:30 PM on Wednesday 11th December, 2024. I took a turn on Kharadi-Hadapsar bypass on Accolade society road. As the road was wet and it was not a rainy day I thought of it due to some water tankers which must have passed. But as I reached closer there was a pothole. The car was already slow as it was a narrow alley with bad roads. I further slowed down as evident from dashcam footage. I also tried to keep the wheels of the car to the left of the pothole but it was not possible due to the scooty standing ahead. And the pothole was a little deep and tires rolling over the deep pothole caused a little splash, which was not intentional. After that, these goons chased the car and stopped it a little ahead. You can hear from their language what kind of hooligans they were. I tried to stay calm and tried to explain that it was not intentional but they were not ready to listen to any reasoning. Probably their plan was to take my car to the side and extort money but I refused to take it to the side. Then one of the boys kicked at my car causing a dent and then ran away. I reported this to the police and registered a FIR and gave them the two wheeler number MH12 GP 6147 immediately, but I don't think the police will take any action. The two wheeler's insurance has expired since 2012. They refused to issue any challan also. This kind of incident is common in Pune, Kharadi area and has happened with my colleagues also. I was travelling in a cab to Mumbai on 30th Oct at around 9pm when I noticed that the driver slowed down the car very abruptly, it was because of the driver of this red i10 who was visibly drunk. He was swerving lanes and almost crashed into us and another car. When we overtook him, he started driving even more dangerously and came ahead of our car started showing the finger and almost made us come to a halt. Luckily there wasn’t much traffic on that stretch of road and our driver was quite aware so we could get away from him. But his driving was highly dangerous and reckless. I hope you show this on your channel to make people aware of drunk drivers like him. #driveresponsibly

Always stay focused and maintain a safe distance on roads, as Indian roads can be unpredictable due to reckless drivers. Details shared by Amit Vishwakarma I was traveling from Bhopal to Pune with my family in a Kia Seltos. While driving on the Nashik highway, I encountered a situation where a car (an Ertiga) was parked in the high-speed lane. This car was in my blind spot due to a vehicle running ahead of me. I was traveling at around 95 km/h and, upon noticing the parked car, I managed to stop at a safe distance. However, a Ford EcoSport following me collided with my car from the rear, and the EcoSport was then hit by another car, an Ertiga. Fortunately, no one was injured, but all three cars were damaged, with the second Ertiga sustaining the most damage. The drivers of the cars behind me began scolding me for stopping on the highway, and a group of local villagers also gathered and became aggressive. Thankfully, my dashcam footage saved me. I showed them the video, which clearly captured the first Ertiga parked in the high-speed lane, causing the chain reaction. The owner of that Ertiga fled the scene after hearing the sounds of the collisions. Despite the damage, we three drivers handled the situation calmly, as everyone had insurance. I attempted to file a complaint against the driver of the parked Ertiga, but no police station helped me. They claimed that since he wasn’t directly involved in the accident, no complaint could be lodged. Here’s what happened when I tried to file a complaint: 1. I approached the Pune police station (as I’m from Pune and the parked Ertiga also had a Pune registration). They redirected me to a Nashik village police station. 2. The Nashik village police station redirected me to the Nashik city police station. 3. The Nashik city police station told me there was no law to register a complaint against the parked driver in this case. Using the car's number plate, I was able to get the owner's mobile number. Initially, he denied being there, but when I shared the dashcam video, he casually said, "Go ahead and complain; nothing will be done."

The drivers of the cars behind me began scolding me for stopping on the highway, and a group of local villagers also gathered and became aggressive. Thankfully, my dashcam footage saved me. I showed them the video, which clearly captured the first Ertiga parked in the high-speed lane, causing the chain reaction. The owner of that Ertiga fled the scene after hearing the sounds of the collisions. Despite the damage, we three drivers handled the situation calmly, as everyone had insurance. I attempted to file a complaint against the driver of the parked Ertiga, but no police station helped me. They claimed that since he wasn’t directly involved in the accident, no complaint could be lodged. Here’s what happened when I tried to file a complaint: 1. I approached the Pune police station (as I’m from Pune and the parked Ertiga also had a Pune registration). They redirected me to a Nashik village police station. 2. The Nashik village police station redirected me to the Nashik city police station. 3. The Nashik city police station told me there was no law to register a complaint against the parked driver in this case. Using the car's number plate, I was able to get the owner's mobile number. Initially, he denied being there, but when I shared the dashcam video, he casually said, "Go ahead and complain; nothing will be done."

The engine of a ‘Sangitam Travels’ bus heading from Pune to Bhusawal suddenly failed, leaving small children, women, and elderly passengers stranded for two hours in the dark of night in the Moshi area. What’s absolutely infuriating is that after the engine failed mid-journey, the driver made a shocking admission: "This bus was already at the Moshi workshop for maintenance." That means a bus that was already faulty was deliberately put on the road, risking passengers’ lives! Taking advantage of the weekend and holidays, Sangitam Travels charged passengers exorbitant fares as usual. But after the bus broke down, the company made no alternative arrangements to take passengers forward. On a deserted road at night, the travel company owners have taken no responsibility for passenger safety. Despite repeated attempts by passengers to contact the travel company’s office and lodge complaints, the distressed travelers have directly alleged that they received no help from there. The accident occurred on 12th Feb early morning at 4.30am. I was driving from Pune to Ahmedabad and this occurred somewhere after Surat. The truck driver was very irresponsible by his actions and put so many lives at risk. The first Skoda barely missed the truck however the second one could not avoid and crashed into the truck. Fortunately, no one had injured considering the build quality of Skoda. I immediately stopped on the curb and checked on the family. Fortunately, the airbags had deployed and all the 5 occupants were not injured but were in a shock. The truck driver ran away leaving his truck at the spot. #driveresponsibly

On 20th May around 5:30 PM, I witnessed a serious and dangerous traffic violation on the Nashik–Pune MH48 highway. A driver was coming from the wrong side in the fast lane while I was driving at about 60–70 km/h. I had to suddenly control my car to avoid collision, and cars behind me were also in danger of crashing. Shockingly, instead of realizing his mistake, the driver signaled me to give him way, behaving as if he owned the road. His reckless actions could have led to a major accident or even fatalities. In my opinion, this is not just negligence it is a crime. If even one person had failed to react quickly, it could have resulted in a major accident. I believe this story deserves more attention, and I would be grateful if you could cover it in one of your awareness videos. These situations are becoming far too common, and we need public pressure to ensure strict penalties such as lifetime license cancellation and heavy fines for such dangerous driving. #driveresponsibly
