So much confusion here. Let’s make this very simple, using only what all Christians already believe: 1.Nothing unclean can enter Heaven. (Revelation 21:27) 2.Almost no Christian dies perfectly purified. We still have impatience, pride, grudges, attachments, wounds. 3.Therefore, God must purify the soul after death before it can enter His presence. Call that purification whatever you want— “final sanctification,” “glorification,” “the last work of grace.” But it is still: •a change •after death •by God •that removes all remaining sin •before we see Him face-to-face. That’s purgatory in essence. Not punishment. Not a second chance. Just God finishing what He began in us. (Phil 1:6) If you deny this, you’re left with only two options: ❌ Sinful souls enter Heaven (unbiblical), or ❌ Christians die fully sanctified (also unbiblical). Purgatory isn’t a Catholic invention — it’s simply the logical conclusion of what every serious Christian already believes.

God absolves, not you. And isn't this the sanctification process? He knows it's wrong, he's trying, he fails, he tries again. Catholics please explain this to me coz I'm thinking of becoming Catholic then I see stuff like this

disgusting “thank God for purgatory”. Jesus Christ paid the price for all sins on the cross. Purgatory is unbiblical heresy that nullifies the cross & what Christ died for. This man says he can absolve the sins people confess to him. This is wrong. How do Catholics not see this??

This is hot garbage. The moment a Christian dies, their flesh and all of their fleshly desires cease. A believer goes to heaven immediately upon death. Every person will still desire sin as long as they have the flesh. This is a major theme of the NT

How does Purgatory work during the Lord’s Day of Judgement? For those that are still alive and do not see death? Do they not see Purgatory? It seems Steven didn’t see it either after his stoning either he saw Jesus. I just don’t understand this doctrine.
