So much confusion here. Let’s make this very simple, using only what all Christians already believe: 1.Nothing unclean can enter Heaven. (Revelation 21:27) 2.Almost no Christian dies perfectly purified. We still have impatience, pride, grudges, attachments, wounds. 3.Therefore, God must purify the soul after death before it can enter His presence. Call that purification whatever you want— “final sanctification,” “glorification,” “the last work of grace.” But it is still: •a change •after death •by God •that removes all remaining sin •before we see Him face-to-face. That’s purgatory in essence. Not punishment. Not a second chance. Just God finishing what He began in us. (Phil 1:6) If you deny this, you’re left with only two options: ❌ Sinful souls enter Heaven (unbiblical), or ❌ Christians die fully sanctified (also unbiblical). Purgatory isn’t a Catholic invention — it’s simply the logical conclusion of what every serious Christian already believes.

Can someone point to me where God teaches us about purgatory, if that’s okay?

God absolves, not you. And isn't this the sanctification process? He knows it's wrong, he's trying, he fails, he tries again. Catholics please explain this to me coz I'm thinking of becoming Catholic then I see stuff like this

John Calvin — Yes, CALVIN himself This shocks Protestants every time. Calvin rejected the Catholic doctrine of Purgatory but explicitly 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡: “𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥, 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐭 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲, 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭… 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐢𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐡, 𝐢𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝.” — 𝐶𝑎𝑙𝑣𝑖𝑛, 𝑃𝑠𝑦𝑐ℎ𝑜𝑝𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑦𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑎 That is exactly the logic of Purgatory: 𝐀 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐲𝐞𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐨𝐝 Calvin disagrees with how Rome describes it, but he 𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 of purification.

This giy blasphemes against the Word of God in hebrews 10:14. We as believers on Jesus have had Purified our sins forever by his blood. This man preaches nonsense and diminishes the blood of Jesus . Flee him

“There is no doubt that the pains of Purgatory are not limited to ten or twenty years, and that they last in some cases entire centuries.”

disgusting “thank God for purgatory”. Jesus Christ paid the price for all sins on the cross. Purgatory is unbiblical heresy that nullifies the cross & what Christ died for. This man says he can absolve the sins people confess to him. This is wrong. How do Catholics not see this??

There is no such thing as Purgatory. There is God's kingdom here on earth or the lake of fire 🔥. These are your only two options.

Some of the comments 🤦🏻‍♀️ Anti Catholic bots here too💰 I’d rather believe in purgatory and find out there isn’t one rather than believe there is no purgatory and find out there is.

Hey speaking of Purgatory what happened to limbo? Did it close down? They used to teach limbo for babies that died before being baptized

Poppycock. Jesus died for the forgiveness of ALL sins. There is no caveat in the Bible about things we haven't "let go of"

Imagine how many Catholics Priests are whistle blowers. Jesus didn't sacrificed for this. Salvation comes from (1)Faith, (2)Works (3) Love your neighbor and your enemies, and God over everybody else. If you have to confess your sins, is straight with Jesus Christ and Holy Father

There's only one life. Either you're molded the image and likeness while alive or you're doomed. The dead know nothing, Ecclesiastes 9 says everything you need to know about the state of the dead. Everything this man said, it's the doctrine of demons. Isaiah 8:20.

This is hot garbage. The moment a Christian dies, their flesh and all of their fleshly desires cease. A believer goes to heaven immediately upon death. Every person will still desire sin as long as they have the flesh. This is a major theme of the NT

How does Purgatory work during the Lord’s Day of Judgement? For those that are still alive and do not see death? Do they not see Purgatory? It seems Steven didn’t see it either after his stoning either he saw Jesus. I just don’t understand this doctrine.
