I LOVE the hardware. Also, there’s only maybe or two other guitars in existence that could pull off that purple binding! To answer his question at the end regarding the finish: I’m extremely partial to flame tops and quilt tops on any translucent finish. That said, a smooth natural finish is sexy as hell too.

Check the qc. There will be flaws in it. It’s not worth the $2000+ they want for it. The QC on production Gibson is equivalent to mid level Ibanez guitars b

My Explorer is an ugly duckling. Worn Cherry. no lacquer. Oil finished mahogany. I think it is an '09.
