These are lovely. One gotcha I hit: if two elements on screen end up with the same view-transition-name, the whole transition just gets skipped. Easy to do in a list, so I generate names from ids. Also worth wrapping the fancier ones in prefers-reduced-motion.

can you steal my idea of doing page transitions using a slime mold simulation? Feed them a lot and make a rule so they don't die - or die on a longer horizon, so it fills the screen quickly
