ZELENSKYY ON HIS CONVERSATION WITH ABRAMOVICH: Ceasefire is the biggest compromise from our side to your side. ZELENSKYY: Abramovich, so he came to Kyiv,bI think that he said: "I have message direct to you, and I want to get message, and take message from you, and to give it to Putin." But he said that it has to be silently, without any kind of, public messages. I said, "Look, it's your choice. Okay, for us it doesn't matter, public or un-public." But it's always with Russians such way. If they say something has to be between us, it's mean that tomorrow not only we will know about it. But it's not a secret. He came, and he wanted to give me the message that they want to to understand what we are ready to do. I said: "The question is not about us. You are fighting against us on our territory." And I said to him about Donbas, it was the key message. And I said: "No, we will not leave, and we will not go out from our territory. No, we will not give you a victory such way. And you will not get it." And we spoke about any kind of compromises. I said that all the compromises after ceasefire. Ceasefire is the biggest compromise from our side to your side. JOURNALIST: So is he a go-between now? Between you and Vladimir Putin, he's going back and forth? ZELENSKYY: I don't know. When he got message from me, he said he will go directly to Putin. I said: "Okay, I'm ready to meet, not in Moscow, not in Belarus, and not in Minsk," and it's understandable why. I said, "You can choose any time from tomorrow. You can choose any day, any format. We can choose with President Trump. I'm sure that he will be ready to come, and we can do it with Europeans. I'm sure that everybody want to help, or we can choose the way bilateral, just bilateral meeting."

Is it the first time when Putin said that the war in Ukraine is “moving towards its conclusion”? He also said he is ready to meet Zelensky not only in Moscow, but also in a third country, but only to “sign an agreement.”

Putin to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte: What nonsense is he saying? I'd really like to ask him: Listen, what are you saying about a war with Russia? You can read, right? Then read the new US National Security strategy. The USA is the key player in NATO, the main sponsor of NATO. Russia is not mentioned as an enemy [in the new security strategy]. But NATO Secretary General is getting ready for a war with us. What is that? You can read, can't you? How are you targeting NATO for a war with Russia if the main NATO country does not see us as an adversary and an enemy?

Retired US Army counterintelligence officer David DeBatto has called for Putin’s arrest in Alaska. “The very fact that Donald Trump is meeting Putin in Alaska is already a diplomatic victory for Putin and a defeat — a disgrace — for the West. It’s a slap not only to Ukraine but to all nations that respect international law. I believe Putin should be allowed to come to Alaska to meet with Donald Trump — but only so we can put handcuffs on him the moment he lands at the airport,” he said.

🇺🇸 U.S. Ambassador to NATO warns: Putin could go beyond Ukraine Matthew Whitaker said the Russian dictator’s latest statements leave no room for optimism. According to him, Ukraine must be able to defend itself for as long as it takes until the war can be brought to an end. Could Putin attack NATO? In the short term, the risk is low — Russia is bogged down in Ukraine. But Washington is not prepared to rule out such a scenario entirely. “Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the earlier annexation of Crimea lead us to believe that Russia can be unpredictable and could be willing to take action against a NATO country,” Whitaker said.

Putin Rejects Trump Ceasefire: Defeat Could Cost Him Power: Trump and Putin spoke today for an hour. The topic is obvious: Trump wants a ceasefire, while Putin will not accept one until Russia’s war aims are met. For Putin this is not about peace. It is about staying in power. Concessions to the U.S. and Ukraine would look like defeat and could bring him down. That is why he will keep fighting. He reportedly said Russia has no aggressive plans toward Europe. Those words should not be believed. If Putin ever concludes he is losing control at home, he is ready to gamble on a wider war with Europe and NATO to survive.

President Trump's Special Envoy Keith Kellogg said that President Trump is ready to promise Putin that NATO will not expand eastward if such a demand becomes a condition for ending the war. "I think it's a fair concern. We've said that repeatedly. We've said that to us, Ukraine coming into NATO is not on the table. And we're not the only country that says that. You know, I can probably give you four other countries in NATO, and it takes 32 of the 32 to allow you to come into NATO. And we've seen other countries saying, 'We're not too sure about that'. That's one of the issues that Russia will bring up. And they're not just talking Ukraine – they're talking the country of Georgia, they're talking Moldova, they're talking, obviously, Ukraine. And we're saying, 'Okay, comprehensively, you know, we can stop the expansion of NATO coming close to your border'. That's security concerns from them," Keith Kellogg said in an interview with ABC News.

Imagine Zelensky's face after Trump's shocking answers to questions from journalists yesterday about Ukraine: a meeting with Putin, a speedy end to the war, no NATO membership or security guarantees. ▪️The president-elect initially declined to answer a question about whether he would maintain aid to Ukraine during the negotiations. “I’m not going to tell you that,” Trump said. ▪️When asked whether he would provide security guarantees to Ukraine after the war (as Zelensky demands), Trump began to criticize the idea of Ukraine joining NATO. He said that Russia had been saying that such a step was unacceptable for it "for many, many years, long before Putin said so," and that it was "written in stone" (literally, "carved in stone," but some media translate this as "an established agreement"). ➖"And about halfway through, Biden said, no, they should be able to join NATO. Well, then Russia would have somebody right on their doorstep. And I can understand their feeling about that," Trump said. ▪️Later, he made it clear that Ukraine may never join NATO (this moment was not included in the video). That is, he said nothing about security guarantees, but the context of his answer is rather negative. Plus - a clear position against Ukraine joining NATO. ▪️Regarding another of his phrases, there was a discussion in the media about what Trump meant when he said that he “hopes that this will happen much sooner than in 6 months” - about the end of the war or about a meeting with Putin. ▪️The second question from the journalist, who had previously asked about a meeting with Putin, is not clearly audible on the video. It ends with the words "... have a conversation within three to six months?" Trump responded that he expected this conversation to happen "much sooner." ▪️What conversation Trump had in mind - with Putin or about ending the war in general, is not the most important thing in his answer. What is more important is that Trump once again stated that he wants the war in Ukraine to end as soon as possible, "because many, many young people, soldiers, are being killed every day", "hundreds of thousands of soldiers on both sides are dead. They are lying in the fields and no one can even collect them. It's a disaster", "only human bodies can stop bullets" and Trump regrets that he cannot start negotiations now, but must wait until the inauguration. On the backdrop of it, the Biden administration is to announce the last large military aid package to Ukraine in Ramstein that starts tomorrow.
