Putin said that the more the enemy attempts to strike Russian civilian targets, the larger the “security zone” Russia will have to create on neighboring territory. He added that Russia must first ensure the protection of civilian infrastructure and citizens, and described the areas in question as historically Russian territory.

The video covers: Russia's response to attacks on energy infrastructure; Air defense production and protection of critical facilities; Fuel and energy supplies to Crimea and Sevastopol; Putin's assessment of the damage; Information warfare and negotiations; The impact of infrastructure strikes on the front line.

Last night Geran strikes on Kiev look practically uncontested. Very little AD can be seen and targets appear to be getting hit as the Russian please. The situation will only worsen as Russian drone manufacturing continues to expand.

“Ukraine must stop striking civilian infrastructure. And Russia?” A Reuters journalist asked Peskov whether Moscow would, in return, stop attacking Ukraine’s economic infrastructure if Kyiv complied with Trump’s request and halted strikes on Russian facilities producing diesel. Peskov replied: “I won’t answer the second part of your question.” At the same time, he immediately welcomed calls for Ukraine to stop its strikes, arguing that they target civilian economic infrastructure. So Russian infrastructure is civilian. Ukrainian infrastructure, apparently, is a military target. Just make sure you don’t mix them up 🤡

Peskov has outdone himself in cynicism “You know that at the moment the peace process is on pause. We expect that it will eventually be resumed. As for the strikes by our armed forces, they are carried out only against military or quasi-military targets. In this regard, it is also worth once again paying attention to the ongoing strikes by the armed forces of Ukraine using drones against civilian targets and civilian infrastructure in various Russian cities and settlements,” he said.

🚨 UKRAINE IS NOW STRIKING DEEPER INTO RUSSIAN TERRITORY — INCLUDING TARGETS LINKED TO MOSCOW One commentator claims Russian officials are describing the latest attacks as among the most serious on Moscow in decades. Reports suggest oil infrastructure was hit, with footage showing large plumes of smoke near the capital. Ukraine says the strikes come after renewed Russian attacks that reportedly killed civilians. Russian President Putin says he has instructed the government to minimize the consequences of Ukrainian strikes on Russian civilian infrastructure. "The Kyiv regime, as the situation on the front rapidly deteriorates, as the enemy loses territory after territory and our forces occupy one settlement after another, has adopted the tactic of targeting our civilian facilities and infrastructure. They are attempting to disrupt energy supplies and affect the tourist season, about which they are talking about openly through various channels."

Putin stated that Russia has intensified its strikes on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities in response to attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) on warehouses, logistics, and civilian infrastructure. Vladimir Putin stated that the increased strikes by the Russian Armed Forces on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities are helping troops on the front lines: disrupting the supply of equipment and ammunition to the UAF, as well as the operation of the Ukrainian defense industry. According to him, Ukraine and its Western partners had hoped, within 40 days, to inflict a "strategic defeat" on Russia through attacks on logistics and civilian infrastructure. Ukraine openly stated that its goal was to "undermine society" and bring Russia to collapse, but the deadline for this, August 5th, has passed. "And what? What result?" Putin said. "Kyiv aimed to damage our economy. What did it do? It opened this Pandora's Box. Well, you will receive a response in your most sensitive sectors of the economy, which, frankly, were already struggling. This also applies to agricultural production, from which the Kyiv regime receives its main income," Putin said. He stated that Ukrainian attacks are leading to the deaths of civilians, but are not affecting the progress of Russian troops. He called the death of each Russian citizen a tragedy and stated that Ukraine has not gained any advantages as a result of the strikes. Putin also acknowledged the need to improve the air defense system and to establish cooperation with businesses – in particular, to prevent disruptions to upcoming elections. "Through intermediaries, proposals are brought to us, but they are sometimes of an exotic nature and are unacceptable to us. They can only be based on the real situation on the ground," Putin added.

President Putin: Overall, I want to say that these attacks on our civilian infrastructure are not carried out solely to inflict damage on us, although I believe that is also important to the enemy. They are also intended to fuel an information campaign, or, more accurately, an information operation as part of the broader confrontation with Russia. Their objective is to create uncertainty among us, undermine confidence in our own strength, and, ideally, divide Russian society. They also seek to force Russia to suspend the offensive of our troops, even if only temporarily, in order to create conditions for starting negotiations on terms favorable to our opponent. We will not give them that chance.
