Putting Dragonfly through the paces. We recently captured static testing of the aeroshell for NASA’s Dragonfly mission to ensure structural integrity. The aeroshell is critical to the Johns Hopkins APL-built Dragonfly’s safe entry and descent into Titan’s thick atmosphere.

⚡ Securing the aeroshell's structural integrity is a massive milestone, especially given that Titan's dense atmosphere presents incredibly unique aerothermodynamic hurdles for entry and descent. While static tests are perfect for validating baseline robustness, how is the team simulating the complex aeroelastic interactions and dynamic turbulence Dragonfly will face once it actually hits that alien atmospheric regime?
