Why do this happen? Police are generally after money they only need a scenario where they can make money,so they will not confront thief that will shoot or likely kill them,but want the thief once you capture him because once the take the thief to station they will milk him through family,frnds and colleagues that will need him to be free. When he die in your hand police will not come for you to milk you..that's why if they catch a him they rush to feed and even tell you to send money to feed assuming he rob your shop. As long as he is alive they can milk him and let him go free. If he is damage and no one is seen at the site,police will now arrest every house occupant leaving close and milk them one by one. That's why in Nigeria any corpse found in your street or nearby people usually flee fir days before they return back the reason is that police don't do investigation or even want to know what happened.
