I actively do my best to prevent this from happening. I review quite powerful motorcycles and I ride them as they were intended to be ridden. That means, full throttle sometimes. Keeping the front down increases handling and stability. After all, I have to review 2 wheels, not 1.

My TL1000 just does it without effing springs.

A time or two ...

I did new bike prep in 1978 took a Maico 450 motorcrosser out for a test beat. COULD NOT keep front wheel on the ground. I was 17 and 150lbs. That bike was sick

We saw a guy pulling a wheelie down a long stretch of service road with a cop behind him the whole time. He didnโt see the cop until he got both wheels down. It was pretty awesome. At least he finished it so maybe the ticket was worth it ๐

Not deliberately but I've pulled a few at the traffic lights grand prix.

Both

Iโm gunna tell an old story, I used to sell motorcycles, when the GSXR came out with the new Ram Air Duction (SRAD) of course there was a lot of excitement. One customer came in and wanted to โtest driveโ the 750. Sir Iโm sorry but we canโt not allow test rides on this motorcycle. โWell how do I know if I want to buy it if I donโt know how fast it is?โ Itโs fast sir, if youโd like I can take you on a ride and show you? (I did not expect him to take me up on it, was trying to make my sale, but he does) Our shop was right off a freeway as we are merging in, no cars in the area, I told him donโt be shy and grab on, and I rolled the throttle strongly on. we start to crest the overpass the front wheel starts lifting as I shift another gear and pin it. He starts screaming โIโll buy it!!, Iโll buy it!!โ I chopped the throttle and was able to exit the turnoff right back into the dealership. The owner was shaking his head as I wrote the guy up.

Yes, the first time I rode one. It was my cousin's bike. He let me ride it one day. When I got on it he was in his car and I popped a wheelie heading straight towards him. Luckily, I got the wheel down and swerved around the car. He about had a heart attack. That was a crazy day!

On two,or 4 wheels?

Only back in my Motocross days. Enjoyed doing wheelies all the time in the dirt never the street !

This is stupid. Why do you start in a wheelie and why is he yanking the bars so hard? Clutch and throttle my guy.

That is cool

My Ducati wants to wheelie in 5th. Pulled a few accidentals on it.

Always accidentally ๐คฃ๐

Used to,my tire budget is limited and the liter bikes rode properly eat maintenance parts up.

TOP !! ๐๐๐ฏ

I had an old Yamaha Midnight Maxim that loved to be on its back wheel.๐คฃ

Both.

Both and many times Had to let go of a bike once before it landed on me I just slid on the ground watching it tumble ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ ๐

Accidentally. I had a 200+ lb. passenger behind, and pulled out onto a 3-lane ahead of two Honda 750s. I made sure to stay ahead of them. Thankfully, the dude was holding on.

Of all the skills I learned, wheelies were only useful for hoping over fallen logs.

Accidentally on a big bike is scary

Another completely pointless stupid invention. ๐ ๐ณ

What's funny and strange is I could ride a wheelie for miles on my bicycle but I couldn't ever ride a wheelie on my dirt bike for very far why ๐ค ๐

That's about the last thing I would try to do.

mini Pit bikes are meant to ride on 1 wheel, until you whiskey throttle it with no brakes because your feet are off the pegs too because it's so short... I was recorded on 2 video cameras and it was hilarious to watch even for me even though I had minor road rash and blood all over me... but sadly the footage was lost when my friend's HD crashed, the most epic fail ever only a tale now.

Yes and yes.

Muchas, incluso me he caรญdo haciendolo de pie y me he roto un par de huesos, cafre que es uno!!!

Yes, both intentionally and unintentionally but not something I'm all that terribly interested in. Traction is precious enough on two wheels as is.

Who hasnt

I don't think I've ever seen a "Wheelie practice rig". ๐

always. back in the day

Accidentally, a few times.
