Agree...have you looked at the side of things that perhaps we're biased because we've heard the album version forever.

The version we ended up getting literally sounds like a a stroll through the park. Which lends nicely to the title. It's bouncy and warm. Not every beat needs to sound like you're stashing guns inside of a Nissan Sentra.

Absolutely....gotta thank the God Prem for both....he's the reason why 29 Years later we can juxtapose the two versions...

Monster grimy beat. I can hear an MC with bigger vocals and more personality on it like Rockness, Busta or Meth or MOP... Illmatic still has ZERO weak beats, imo. flawless instrumentals matched perfectly for the right voice at the right time.

Bruhhhh exactly what I been saying. I can close my eyes and see ONYX rapping on this beat.

it's still crazy to me this hasn't been included in any of the numerous Illmatic re-issues over the years
