Q. What was your first Sunderland game?

Bit pedantic but to the lad saying we beat Southampton 3-0 in 2003- we didn't beat them at all between 1999 + 2013, only Mcateer out of the 3 he said scored did so against Saints while with us(1-1 draw)and Mcateer never played with Elliott. Hope I haven't spoiled it for him

Great false advertising by the club

Mascot at Reading away in the FA Cup on 6/1/90. Some guy called Ian Porterfield was Reading manager at the time and made my day so special. Missed our goal in 1st min as was still getting changed… lots 2-1. Cried all the way home. Welcome to life as a @SunderlandAFC supporter 😆

Sunderland 2-2 QPR on Good Friday 1998. 2 late goals from them. A point that ultimately kept them up. 2 points dropped that ultimately prevented us getting promoted. Couldn't think of a better example of a game to prepare me for life as a lads fan
