Because if you can silence what you dislike, you don’t have freedom of speech at all — you only have the illusion of it. And one day, the tables will turn, and that same power will be used against you. In places like the UK, there are actually thousands of people — two, maybe three thousand — who’ve been sent to prison just for social media posts. Think about that. People who wrote words online are behind bars, while violent offenders are being released early. That’s not justice. It’s deeply wrong.
