We held a Quantum Summit at the Governor’s mansion with leaders from across our state — our leadership is being recognized at the federal level with Colorado’s designation as a TechHub for quantum. We are proud of this significant recognition, which stemmed from a competitive national process, and we expect an equally successful Phase 2 application, unlocking up to $70 million in federal resources for the region. To further boost quantum technologies here in Colorado we’re excited to pursue legislation that will provide meaningful incentives to support Colorado as a leader in quantum.

Ethereum Researcher Justin Drake, who co-authored Google's recent quantum paper: "I've stopped thinking about post-quantum as a hurdle that we have to overcome, and I think of it more as an opportunity. It's an opportunity for Ethereum to stand out as the very first global financial system that is post-quantum secure — not just relative to its competitors, but also relative to fiat and tradfi." Justin also believes quantum presents an opportunity for Ethereum to become the best version of itself: “The move to post-quantum is essentially a rewrite, and that’s a massive opportunity to start with a clean slate and wipe our technical debt.” The rewrite bundles post-quantum security with a new ZK virtual machine (LeanVM) that can snarkify the entire consensus layer in real time. Into the quantum realm we go with the brilliant Prineha Narang. Narang earned her PhD in applied physics at Caltech, taught materials science at Harvard and now has her own lab at UCLA. The lab focuses on quantum materials, non-equilibrium dynamics, photonics, quantum information science and other easily digestible areas. Beyond her academic career, Narang is a science advisor to the government and a venture capitalist at DCVC. As you might imagine, we get into quantum computing and quantum technology in this episode.
