This means that decisions (not location, time, gender, age) decide destiny. Your decisions play a big role in determining the quality of your life. This is absolutely the right advice Too many people come into the corporate workplace thinking they are a rebel and will change how things work The reality is that if you want to get ahead, you need to play the game that has been laid out You can opt out of the game if you wish and follow your own path Maybe once you are senior enough at the MD or PM level, you can try to change the culture But until then, learning to play it is your best bet of moving ahead in your career

I can't stop thinking about this scene from Yellowstone... It begins with a simple question: "So why do you do it?"
