Quentin Tarantino Analyzes the Differences Between Bill Murray & Chevy Chase Movies
30 Yorum

I never liked Tarantino (though his movies are good, notwithstanding the violence), and this makes me like him less. The Murray movies are about redemption. Redemption is a good thing.

Yes, Groundhog Day is far superior to any goofy donkey shit this dipshit makes.

What 80's is he talking about?

In what decade was Raging Bull made?

Chevy Chase was the GOAT of the 80s.

It's this mentality that got us where we are today. "The 70s were good because people were unapologetically nihilistic and edgy. The 80s were bad because screwed up characters got redemption arcs." As someone who enjoys stories that break it distort the hero's journey, I get bored of "there are no heroes." The answer isn't that one is better than the other. The answer is that all should be produced so the audience has their pick of diverse narratives. Today, the no heroes trope is almost exclusively favored over feel-good hero or redemption stories. Combine that with neo-Marxist oppressed/oppressor narratives, virtue-signaling DIE, and directors and producers who are cast like actors, and we're left with a slate of movies that looks like a rare well-made, but depressing, movie, floating in a morass of shit that's both bad and depressing.

The original Fletch is so rewatchable. Clever writing and Funny AF

He’s analyzing Stripes? It was a silly comedy? Come on man.

You could never make any of the teen comedies made in the 1980’s now, FFS we grew up in the 80’s watching supposed naked high school girls in the shower. Tarantino is solely talking about violence in movies

Fuck this pedophile cunt

In 1984 all these bangers came out. STFU quinten.

lol great breakdown of movies that raised me and i never caught on to the basic foundations of Bill and Chevys movies until Quentin laid it out. 🤦🏽♂️ Makes 100 sense and poor chevy.

Not true. A false thesis he created for his book. Raging Bull, Platoon, once Upon a Time in America, Do the Right Thing, Blue Velvet, The Shining.

Guaranteed pedo

I never thought either of those two were funny or fun.

Jaws started the 80s style movie, Days of Heaven ended the 70s style movie

Nailed it. I always thought the same thing although I grew up in the 80s and I liked all of Bill AND Chevy's movies.

He's so right.

Chevy Chase has been married to the same woman for 44 years

Just a complete misreading of movie history

Bizarre take

Say what you will about the guy and his foot fetish, he's still a huge movie nerd.

Oh Heavenly Dog! 😆

Nothing wrong with a character arc, Quentin Groundhog day and stripes will not be disrespected in my presence.

that’s the only tarantino analysis i’ve ever agreed with

Everyone that was a prep and joined a fraternity wanted to be Chevy chase. Tiger Woods has that same problem. They were so darn famous when they peaked that eventually they didn't want to be around the public who were overly nice

When was this interview…?

Q is a retarded pedophile

They're movies in the 80s you cannot make now a days because everyone gets offended but they became clut classics due to the VHS being invented. Thanks to those 80s movies that this guy talks shit about his movies exists because they created the cult classic.

The 1980s was one of the best movie decades. This guy is retarded
