“I’m not big on social media or any of that…I just happen to be really good at fighting,” Anthony “Fluffy” Hernandez told Ariel Helwani in February 2024. 18 months later, Hernandez has now rattled off 8 straight wins, 6 by finish, proving once again that he is infact “really good” at fighting. At this point, he’s made it clear he’s one of the best middleweights in the world. He’s also one of those compelling under the radar personalities that make people love combat sports, except he rarely tells his story, and you won’t catch him chasing clout, followers, or living on social media. At home, he is surrounded by life. 4 children 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 4 chickens 🐓 (that roam not just the yard but the house) 3 dogs 🐕 2 cats 🐈 and a couple of ball pythons 🐍 Growing up on a ranch, animals were always part of his world, and now living in a city, keeping them around is his way of carrying that upbringing with him. One of the most important things in his house is never showing fear to his kids. Hernandez believes fear is taught by parents. “If I’m not afraid of sh*t and I don’t show fear, I think my kids will be fine…let them find out by themselves.” It’s clear Hernandez fears little and rather enjoys the violence of MMA. At 15, tipping the scales at over 250lbs, he was already trading shots with pros at small smoker shows and full-on scrapping with friends on their front lawns. But once he stepped into an actual gym, he became obsessed with the sport and clearly has never looked back. Last night he put on an absolute clinic against the 9th ranked Roman Dolidze, finishing him with one of the more savage RNC submissions you will see. The timing of this performance couldn’t be better with the middleweight title up for grabs next weekend. And while he admittedly rarely keeps up with the MMA landscape, you can bet Fluffy will be watching the result closely, knowing his opportunity to wear UFC gold could be coming sooner rather than later. 🚨FYA🇳🇬🎶🇬🇭: So I’m gonna put this out here and help demystify the conundrum of the identity of the lady who went viral during Omah Lay’s concert in London, kind courtesy @DTSIntel. First of all the said girl at the center of the viral performance isn’t called ‘Fafa’ as reported; she’s also not Ghanaian neither is she ewe nor an old student of Wesley Girls. Her name is actually ‘Jessica Ani,’ known as Jesssani on TikTok(she has since disabled her comments on there since her account got found out). In the first video attached you hear Omah Lay ask her what her name was when she came on stage🙃. Secondly, the video that’s going viral about Omah Lay not knowing her name but giving her shoutout is an old video, after his show in Amsterdam & not London. The voice you hear in the background drawing the attention of Omah Lay about the fan’s name(Fafa) was Nigerian Afrobeats promoter, Adesope. He posted that video on IG in addition to a media carousel on February 11, 2024. He was at that show which also had guest artistes like Smallgod & King Promise. Fafa is actually a staunch fan of Omah Lay’s music, who flew from the UK to Amsterdam just to see Omah Lay; she could sing all of his songs. That is who both Adesope & Omah Lay were referring to(watch video in the last frame) post-shouts. Also, Omah Lay didn’t say ‘bitch’ as purported; he was actually saying ‘big shout—’ & got intercepted by Adesope in revealing the name of the fan to him. Hence the second take. Concerning the London event, Omah Lay or anybody closer to his team is yet to speak on it. & oh, the boyfriend who got affected in this ‘crossfire’ is also not Ghanaian but Nigerian. Shalom! 🦅🇬🇭

Good afternoon Crime Watch Zim. I need help. I have been trying to reach out to a lady named Nelia Nyati, who is based in the UK. She sent her two sons to study in Namibia around June or July 2024. Unfortunately, one of the boys, Charles “Taku” Nyati, is mentally unstable and appears to be struggling with untreated childhood trauma 😢. Around July last year, my son found Taku in a park searching for food in bins. People there told him that the boy was from Zimbabwe, so my son called me and I rushed there. After speaking to Taku and gathering some information, I took him to the college where he was supposed to be studying, and that is when I heard a very troubling story. I later managed to get the mother’s number and contacted her. She explained that Taku had gone through very difficult experiences while growing up, but she never mentioned any proper plan or support to help him. When I contacted her, I genuinely hoped the child would finally receive the help he needs. At the time, Taku had already spent about four months living on the streets in a foreign country. I took him into my home, cleaned him up, and stayed with him while waiting for his mother to make a plan. The school also confirmed that he was mentally unstable, and the mother admitted the same. I then suggested that he return to Zimbabwe where there are relatives who could possibly assist him, rather than leaving him stranded in Namibia. The older brother, Shaquille, who also stays in Namibia, does not seem concerned about Taku’s situation. He has accommodation, and their mother sends him money from the UK for school fees and upkeep. I also later discovered that the two boys have different fathers. After staying with Taku for about three weeks, I managed to help him return to school and back into the hostel. It was not easy, and sadly, the mother showed very little concern throughout the process. Unfortunately, things did not last long. Taku was later expelled from the hostel and has been back on the streets since September last year 😢. I have tried reaching out to the mother again, but she no longer even opens my messages. I will attach screenshots of our conversations and her UK number. The boy is not looking well at all, and I fear the worst may happen to him while he is suffering alone in Namibia. From our conversations, she mentioned that the father’s name is Jeffrey Takawira. I will also attach the boy’s photo. Kana pane anokwanisa kubatsira mwana uyu, please do. If anyone knows the mother or any relatives, please pindirai. Thank you for your time.

“Shokunin Spirit” & Trading Last year, while traveling, I saw a Japanese tour bus driver sitting in front of the wheels, carefully polishing them. He was waiting for his passengers and could have easily stayed on the bus to rest or play on his phone. But instead, he chose to clean the bus. At that moment, I understood why Japanese taxis and buses are always spotless and shining. That’s when I truly understood what “shokunin spirit” is all about—the dedication to excellence. I used to encourage people to aim for "financial freedom" or "F.I.R.E." as their goal when learning investing and trading. But in recent years, I’ve realized this approach is completely wrong because it puts the cart before the horse. Investing and trading are not easy. It takes more than just a few years to see results. It’s only those with a craftsman’s mindset—who are willing to constantly learn, refine their skills, and embrace challenges without focusing on immediate rewards—who have the best chance of succeeding. Financial freedom, in reality, is just a byproduct of this mindset. If your motivation is "financial freedom," it’s easy to feel frustrated and give up when progress is slow. But if you approach investing and trading with the craftsman spirit, you’ll see failures as part of the process and face them calmly, focusing on finding solutions instead of quitting. Successful traders (or entrepreneurs) don’t see "financial freedom" as their ultimate goal. Even after achieving it, their work and lifestyle often remain the same. What drives them is the craftsman spirit—the desire to keep excelling in the field they love and to push their boundaries. If you truly love your work and what you do, and you live each day fully, you don’t really need financial freedom. You’ve already found freedom in your mindset.

My 2nd trip to Memphis is almost over and I’ve again really enjoyed my time here. So I felt the need to say something, especially after what LeBron said today. This city often gets a very bad rep and I’ve experienced that myself. Players shitting on it, media saying it’s dangerous, people asking me why I’d go here because I wouldn’t be safe, I’ve heard it all. All those people couldn’t be more wrong. This is a city very different from other “typical American cities”. Memphis has it’s own identity, an identity that makes it special. Memphis is a very warm and welcoming city. From the second my first trip started last year I’ve felt welcomed by the people. In the Fedexforum, on the streets, in the airport, in my hotel. My experiences have been nothing but positive. Not once have I felt unsafe or anything remotely close to it, not in my week long stay last year and also not in my almost 2 week long stay this year. Now of course every city has its weaknesses and room for improvement. And that’s where I have to give a lot of credit to the mayor and the people who run this city. Even in the year between my trips there has been clear improvement. The streets are cleaner, there’s roadwork being done and downtown is noticeably more lively compared to last year. Don’t let people who have never been here tell you what and how this city is. Memphis is a unique and beautiful city, Memphis is Memphis. I have truly loved my time here and I can’t wait to keep coming back in the future. But first one more game against Toronto tomorrow.
