Congressman Steve Scalise was literally almost killed by gun violence. Someone tried to murder him. You'd think it would be a moment of introspection. But nope. He is still owned by the NRA. And a giant jerk.

Honestly, they should start asking about shootings that occurred months ago. Frame it, “so you’ve had time to pray over XYZ shooting, now that you’ve had time to pray, what can we do about XYZ shooting”.

@SteveScalise we have the facts. Someone went into a school with assault weapons and murdered 3 children and 3 adults. You’re prayers are worse than useless, they’re an insult. We’re sick of YOU allowing children to die from gun violence for YOUR political agenda.

When Republican Congressional members tweet about a mass shooting, they ALWAYS say, "I am MONITORING the situation". Is this a code phrase for: "The NRA is paying me to NEVER EVER vote for weapon control legislation" ???

@zeusanna Why don’t you pray we don’t vote your asses out of Congress come election time? Here you are walking around with gunshot wounds to your own body and you can be this bland? Astonishing!

His prayers may as well be bullets because his prayers haven’t saved any lives or stopped any school shootings. His job is to legislate and pass laws to prevent something like this, not praying after each incident and doing nothing to help stop the next one from happening.
