Do anything for votes? Spread anything for votes? Create a political narrative around everything for votes? This is getting disgusting. 🤢 In a POCSO case, shouldn’t the priority be protecting children, safeguarding survivors, preserving evidence and allowing investigators to do their job without unnecessary political interference or prejudicing the investigation? Yet we are seeing political statements and public disclosures about the arrested individuals, their identities and even their employment details being repeatedly pushed into the political narrative. Is this really the appropriate way to handle a sensitive investigation? The investigation has now widened. Police have identified multiple survivors, including people who were minors at the time of the alleged offences, and a separate probe is examining allegations of attempts to suppress or derail the investigation. At the same time, the case has become the subject of an intense political dispute between TVK and DMK over how the earlier investigation was handled. Those political allegations are themselves being contested. So let the investigators investigate. Let the evidence come out. Let the court decide who is guilty. Justice first. Politics later. If political narratives and by-election calculations become more important than protecting children and allowing a sensitive investigation to proceed properly, that should concern everyone — regardless of political affiliation.
